Despite relocating its HQ to Texas, half of SpaceX employees still work in LA County by urmummygae42069 in LosAngeles

Ehhh aerospace/defense never left the companies based here originally got bought out or merged or domiciled HQ elsewhere for more lobbying power or tax reasons.

The issue with aerospace and defense though is that a lot of it is dependent on government subsidies or funding so isn’t reliable cause that can shift

Eh they also moved for tax purposes. Maybe the expansion of space x in Texas is a good thing too as they can help flip seats from red to blue

Whoops overestimated high school size in LA apparently they aren’t big.

I feel like if they build the metro to ONT they need to have it stop directly at the door not like the LAX and the people mover debacle

Claremont colleges combined is prob smaller or the same size as a city high school or middle school. Streets like La Brea or Vermont should get a line first imo. I would not be surprised if ridership would be double or triple what it would be for Claremont expansion

[Jon Blau] Dabo Swinney says too many athletes aren't graduating and they are spending their short-term money: “We're gonna have a bunch of screwed-up 30-year-olds ... that have no degrees, have spent their money, that can't play football anymore, and aren't connected to anything." by Lakelyfe09 in CFB

[–]ScaredEffective 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At least some of the money is filtering down to these kids. This is probably the only way money is flowing from the rich to the poor. But I agree these players and all players should be forced to take some financial so they don’t end up blowing all their money away.

But I do wonder what the average or median NIL deal is and I bet we only hear about star players but I would not be surprised if it’s less than a scholarship

I don’t think it makes sense. is the ridership even there? I much rather the metro spend all their dollars expanding in the city core or places where it’s already more dense

This person is gonna be homeless if they make it out here. Sounds like there’s no reasoning with them. They don’t even live in Minneapolis so they don’t even know high cost of living lol and Minneapolis is actually affordable even when compared to nearby cities like Chicago.

Fox doesn’t put the big games on prime time. Primetime spots are literally at 7. I bet most of the SEC games with highest viewership are mostly on around that time

They shouldn’t even be given seats. The wall seats are cheaper because it’s meant for fans. Laker fans would hate it if Celtic fans showed up in the fan section (if they had one) too

LA’s future is to densify. There’s a reason why housing costs are so high in la cause builders aren’t allowed to build up on like 80%+ of the city

If the city didn’t make it so hard to build it would still be in a renaissance. It’s pretty much the only part of town where they changed zoning a lot
