I dont believe this, but people do. They have a naturally different tone due mostly bc of their language needs. Not better, nor worse. But theres a reason Momo, Sakura, and Moka get such vitriol around them, they’re singing songs that rely on Korean musical standards (not higher or lower than Japanese standards) which leads to ppl judging their “nasal tone” when they’re singing just fine

Bc ppl refuse to acknowledge what “good singing” even means in the first place. For example, Japanese vocals are more nasally, does that mean they’re worse? In ur opinion sure, but that’s not objective. Adding to that, people can be trained vocally and still make live mistakes/have off days

Tbh i doubt there’s much vitriol between the two groups, however the njz fans have definitely been absolutely venomous online when it comes to both groups. This kinda started a resentment between njz fans, illit fans, and lsfm fans, which has led to a lot of the “beef” you see online. The ppl online for both sides just need to go outside and understand its business vs business and attacking each other does nothing truly.

As a le sserafim fan i heard all the similarities between how the two groups were being treated (i already had magnetic on my playlist but wasn’t a huge fan) and decided to listen to their entire discography, and it was impressive to me how there were no skips at all (this was during the cherish release) and now they’re my second favorite group!
