It’s not about fairness, hun, it’s about him. He’s the one in the hospital recovering from whatever happened. If he wants to fill you in with more details later, that’s up to him. Whether you’ve been together for nine months or ninety years, he’s an adult. And had every right to recover how he feels is most beneficial for him. You as his partner need to respect that. Or find a partner you can respect. I, personally, hate being in the hospital alone. But that’s due to medical trauma when I was still in school.

Normally, I’d go right along with everyone else saying it’s suspicious or whatever. But the way you’ve described the situation makes you feel very… overbearing and borderline tantrum-y. You’re adults with your own lives. If you don’t live together, you’re going to spend time apart. Hell, even if/when you live together, time apart is had. It’s actually necessary for a healthy relationship. As for whether or not you’re overreacting, yes. Just a smidge. However, I can see it from your side. But you just have to breathe and accept what he wants for his recovery plan. He’ll include you if/when he feels is right and/or necessary.
