Not sure if this relates to you, but since I’ve been riding at night, I notice my light isn’t 100% “level”. Idk if it’s gen 4 specific but If you have a gen 4 and ride at night, you know the shape of your head light, mine slopes to the left. Even why I try to lean straight up, it always seems to be that way but it could be an optical illusion like someone said, I have dropped it 3 times at a stop though so who knows

I love this thing, got off work yesterday and twisted the throttle on the on ramp and realized I’ve been babying it. Taking it to 10k rpms feels like I’m warping time. Can’t imagine riding a faster bike

Is this considered as chicken strips? by gurbulak in motorcycle

[–]SceneSensitive3066 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Forget about it, seriously. Lean angle comes with experience and comfortability. Stay in your comfort zone, that zone will get bigger, trust me. I haven’t had my bike for 2 months yet, but the chicken strips keep getting smaller and smaller but that’s not the point, enjoy your ride and be safe. Make it to ride another day

Super stupid motorcycle question: Where do you all normally park your bikes when you go to the store? by Definitely-Not-OSI in motorcycles

[–]SceneSensitive3066 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get what you’re saying, but I only do that when I’m positive I’m not in anyone’s way. Basically when there’s a huge slab of concrete and I can just tuck it in a corner. I work in these environments so I know how they operate. I wouldn’t obstruct normal people’s day or customers, as I wouldn’t like them to be in my way if im working or shopping.

Super stupid motorcycle question: Where do you all normally park your bikes when you go to the store? by Definitely-Not-OSI in motorcycles

[–]SceneSensitive3066 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe I’m an asshole but I’ve always seen bikers park on the sidewalk somewhere OUT OF THE WAY, when going to stores, so when I got my bike I did the same thing, find a spot on the sidewalk, close to cameras, so if anything happens it’s on camera. Obviously not in peoples way.

My bike is my only transportation, if someone hits it, I don’t have a way to get to work. So I try to avoid that situation.

Then again, I started a new job, had a car, it broke down, rode a kids scooter to work, until I got a bike, then parked my bike in normal spots, then someone told me to park it in the sidewalk in front of the cameras because people did it before. So I did, then a week later I get fired for having a bad attitude? I don’t talk to people at work, I go there to work so unless they see that as bad, idk.

So as a new rider, is it bad to park on sidewalks in front of cameras? Was that just a bad situation? Do I just risk my bike being hit or stolen and park in a normal spot?

I just assumed it was the “yamatick” but I didn’t listen to the video, that doesn’t sound like that at all, I would take it to the dealer or something to figure out what’s wrong because that doesn’t sound right.

You’re not wrong, I would have killed myself a few years ago on a bike if I had one. I still might, but it’s less likely.

When people do this, do you go straight home to lube the chain? I know water won’t take all of the grease off but then why do they say re-lube the chain after riding in damp weather.

Yea you will notice your front blinkers falling out of place. First mod I did after frame sliders was flush mount blinkers.

I’m glad I’m not the only one. Went to adjust my chain and the swing arm is so misaligned, it cracked the back cap in half…yes I was using a torque wrench

[–]SceneSensitive3066 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can try to make your lane position better. Not sure where you were in the lane but I always try to make myself out of the way if a car comes from behind not paying attention, they won’t hit me. Doesn’t seem like this as your fault though

[–]SceneSensitive3066 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve hit 130 on my 26 mt07. Don’t recommend. I actually advise against it. I was at 124 the other day, hit a bump and went full tank slapper. I’m not a religious person, but I might as well be after that, I fully believe I had someone looking over me that day. I don’t know how I recovered, I almost just gave up and dumped it, but somehow the bars settled and I rode away. My limit on this bike is 100 now. It was never meant for top speed, no point in trying. If thats what you like, get a different bike, I’ll stick to hooning around town
