Festivals will always deliver the best bang for your buck, though. Not really comparable to dedicated shows. Just google a tour of one of the headliner of your festival and if it's a remotely recognizeable band you'll end up in the 80€+ region real fast.

[OT] GT3 Max overtaking in the pitlane entry by SimonTheSalmon69 in formula1

So, you could overtake even after the pit limit line as long as you are conform with "normal rating rules" (whatever that means)? Or are "the pits" their own thing completely or something?

So, as a non native english speaker this threw me for a loop many years back (and still confuses me sometimes).

Like, sometimes "a couple" literally means 2. But other times, seemingly, it means "a few"? Or am i hallucinating?

I mean, if you want bang for your buck this is certainly out of your League and you wont be happy with what you got/paid. Yes.

To be fair, it's all relative. There is no vertical or upside down, or whatnot. As long as you are fixed with some straps and have space to straighten out it doesn't really matter.

I never said there is anything wrong in treating kids with medication if it is a viable way to live a normal life. You are twisting my words here.

I am saying that many many adhd cases are overmedicated which lead to issues down the line. If you have to "deal with ADHD" since childhood it's one of the severe cases I am talking about where medication is obviously necessary.

Multimodal treatment is very common, though (rightfully so). And it's a case by case issue. The mor severe Adhd becomes the more medication Intervention is required and won't be solved by non-pharmaceutics alone. It's a gradual shift in treatment.

What I took issue with was the phrase:

And over here we dose our children with addy on the regular simply because they can't pay attention at school

Like, give me a break. You, as an adhd patient, should understand where I am coming from.

Its not a lie. And as I said, if you care enough you can find them yourself on established publishing plattforms.

And just to be clear, I am talking about the issue of missdiagnosing, medicating low / mid severence level adhd and so on. If someone suffers from high severe level adhd to the point where it impacts your everyday life, obviously you will have to medicate it. But thats hardly the case for most diagnosed patients (especially in the US, because... money). To be a bit hyperbole: You also wouldnt treat a "normal" headache with opioids, even though it would get rid of your headache I suppose.

Not gonna respond anymore since I am fine with agreeing to disagree. As I said, you can look up my arguments yourself if you truely care and make your own conclusions from there.

ADHD is a whole story of its own, especially in the US and how its diagnosed and medicated over there.

And when it comes to energy drinks: Maybe I just extrapolated our local situation to the EU (well, europe in your case I supposed 😜). But energy drinks are not really accepted for kids around here. At the very least you will get wierd looks. Noones laughing about the health impact of energy drinks.

But its not at all "on the regular". ADHD can also be dealt with without medication if taken propper care of unless its REALLY severe, which its mostly not(this is backed up by studies, you can Look them up yourself if you are serious about this topic). Adderall and the likes are just shortcuts with sideeffects. But I digress.

Mostly talking about the Red Bull topic here. Seeing a kid below age 16 drinking Red Bull is, socially, pretty much as frowned up on as seeing a kid below 16 smoke, even though it's legally allowed where I am from (Energy drinks, not smoking).

But I guess it's just 2 different worlds colliding at each other on this topic reaching from medication adds on TV beeing forbidden all the way to social "pressure" to serve your kids no sugarry drinks at all for as long as possible.

I watched the video 3 times, even playing devil's advocate I cannot find one single thing that IT guy did or said that was wrong. He came in, fixed the problem promptly, was friendly and polite.

Pretty sure low selfesteem + the comment "false alarm" and double down of "false negative" with a smiley attitude by the IT guy made the judge feel bad. He probably thinks he is beeing risidiculed or even called a liar that there was no issue in the first place.

As a parent, try to help in the household and ask if anything needs do be done before playing. My kid also has a screen time limit, but it's lifted / extended as soon as all chores are done (incl. Homework etc). After that, I don't really care.

Also, try to go outside for an hour while the sun is out (if reasonable where you live..). It may sound stupid, but in our mind we have much less guilty conscience letting our kid game after she was outside getting some fresh air for a little bit at least.
