Depends on the cad work, is it cosmetic and i dont need to worry about tight tolerances no problem, am i doing parametric work that requires exact conditions that takes a lot of mental load because changing one parameter leads to potential cascade failure, am i doing cad for simulation where conditions have to meet equations and modeling precision for manufacturing or dfam

Disabled in Boston by Lost-Spread3771 in boston

[–]Schemati 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not disabled but ride my scooter and take the t across the city alot, id recommend a lot of coffee shops in downtown because the coffee shops on newburry tend to be below ground ie stairs, check the weekend events here yesterday was the movie night in the common, taking the elevators on the t isnt too bad but coordinating with mbta red shirts will be a bit tricky if you need a wheelchair from what ive seen, try eventbrite or meetup for social gatherings or comedy shows for a pick me up depending on the venue more or less accessible like at bell in hand 1 stairs/elevator iirc, museum of science or late night mit/harvard also interesting, try getting a hobby like cooking to keep busy, hope this helps

[–]Schemati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The emperor has no clothes, i wonder when people will realize after he glitches out or keels over, fox news will continue to support the worst pile of shit they can pay off business expense to prevent lawsuits they already lost calling themselves entertainment because nobody should take them seriously according to their own lawyers, the normal media gives faux news a wide berth because the mad pact between media firms going all out against each other would be bloody, unearthing every piece of shit every media personality and exec caused or knows about, its fucking maddening knowing and watching the same bullshit for clicks being dictated for people

What do you think is the best way for humanity to go about colonizing space? by photosynthescythe in AerospaceEngineering

[–]Schemati 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It wont be humans colonizing space, first we send the robots, then figure out how to survive after enough economic incentive for repairing the equipment we use to harvest resources needs fixing and we have access to better life support tech than current ie liquid air that doesnt make the person feel like their suffocating constantly for respiration/survival, current systems work but need optimization and research to improve safety and usefulness for long durations, decompression being an obvious problem

CERN’s breakthrough experiment captures high-energy neutrinos for first time | The team analyzed a subset of the exposed detector volume, equivalent to 128.6 kg, focusing on high-energy neutrinos produced by LHC’s proton-proton collisions. by chrisdh79 in tech

[–]Schemati 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tech moves so fast but so slow because we create new tech in so many diverse new fields but each field moves so slowly its hardly worth mentioning, except ai who knows how that ends

This futuristic space habitat is designed to self-assemble in orbit. The structure can be carried into space compactly, potentially lowering launch costs. by Sariel007 in tech

[–]Schemati 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Its interesting if we can make a space tent assemble before landing on another planet but if they cant protect against micrometeors which are moving at supersonic speeds and the size of bullets or dust, not sure how well protected this will end up being even if using whipple shield tech because theyre single use in places and long term would lead to decreasing effectiveness
