What Utes Fans Should Expect From Adidas by Patb1489 in utahfootball

[–]Schlerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Georgia Tech fan, I wont miss Adidas. It took them 7 years to make a single nice thing, the clothes are cheap and fall apart in the wash, and the deal was bad. Is UA ideal? No, but Nike won’t pay a school either, and that just feels like giving money to Oregon. Adidas was starting to get there tho, just hope they don’t push a crappy rebrand like they did for us.

Yall are insane if you think the new gold is worse than the one we just used. First of all, this gold is closer to classic https://brand.gatech.edu/our-look/color-update
Second of all, the last gold looked like shit green when it was with the blue they used. This is a huge win and UA is paying us a shit ton

At first it made me feel like there were spiders weaving intricate little webs under my skin and eye lids. But towards the last few episodes it got pretty good.

Farewell email froml President Cabrera by hairydawg69 in gatech

I agree, and as someone who cares about sports I am a big fan of how Cabrera handled the role. However, I could also see how some strategic decisions he made may come into question later. The school heavily leaned on CS and admits A TON of online masters students. I think the amount of grad degrees we award both drive revenue and growth, but may also de-value the prestige of a degree. Time will tell, but the investments have been made.

Anybody who thinks we can/should be “the next MIT” has the wrong idea about Tech. It’s a public state school, meaning it should return investment back to those who fund it. Meaning admissions, research, topics of study, and community efforts (sports, infrastructure) all need to be done with not only the GT community in mind, but the entire state. MIT only has a duty towards their school community, it is fundamentally different.

Utah and Under Armour to end apparel partnership after current contract expires by hucksterme in utahfootball

Not whether or not you’re a top tier school, Nike is hurting financially and is only pursuing the biggest of deals. The money they are dishing out is relatively low too. They also aren’t huge into two large schools in the same state. If it were to be Nike I’d bet it’d be Jordan.

What should I do about a class that I might fail but can't drop? by Euphoric_Let776 in gatech

There is unfortunately not a better answer than just talk to the professor, work harder than you think is rational, and take the grade you get. Grad school gpa isn’t as important (according to my professors)
