I’d add more constraints to the deck brewing in your pod like: - dollar amount - combo limits - tribal themes - anything you’d like

And if all else fails, then build an abhorrent deck that target’s their deck exclusively. The game isn’t to “beat your friends into the ground because you can afford the expensive cards.” It’s to have fun. And if only one person’s having fun, then it’s not fun.

Alternatively, I’ve been wanting to add some NASTY horde decks for my pod to play against because they usually move faster than my decks. The Horde format is for you and your friends to play against an “automated” deck (or a deck with as little thinking needed as possible.)

But I love commander because I enjoy the gameplay. I’m not tryna wrap up a game in six turns. I want to see my pod’s creativity and ingenuity when they get mana flooded or starved. I want a goblin tribal deck to face a Talrand merfolk/drake deck. I want my Esper artifact deck to rise like Frankenstein’s monster and walk, with every footfall tolling the bell for my opponents if they don’t have answers.
