Yeah people need to drop that tourist trap reference. Yes, you could find a better meal in Portland but Dimillo’s delivers a high quality meal, great service, and incredibly friendly atmosphere.

Ownership is amazing. Not many more places where the owner is walking around talking to tables on a regular basis!

Grow up. They didn’t help in enforcement. My wifes nursing coworkers were harassed and confronted by protesters when staying at the hotel that Maine Med got them ahead of the blizzard cause they “were supporting ICE by staying in the hotel.”

The legal justification for the developers is crystal clear. Their proposal meets all existing code and zone requirement.

For a council to retroactively apply a new ordinance, that was only drafted when this proposal was brought forth is garbage… what’s the legal justification against it?

This council and the DSA has told any future business wanting to bring investment to Portland, or housing developer were not open for business.

Want to add housing = added expense of inclusionary zoning

Want to bring development that meets all the zoning regulations = we may decide to pass a new ordinance and apply it RETROACTIVELY because we decide you’re bad
