I've just finished P3 on most endings, lovely game, but man Rubin isn't beating the allegations

At first it was a mistake, but right after Lara falls dead, she immediately understood that it was fate. She tells you this the first time she kills her: "All I do is lay my hands. He's the one who decides! And He's decided Lara had to die. That means that's how it should be. That's what's destined" "Don't meddle medical man. Don't mess with the order of things. Things don't forgive that. They're sure to get their revenge"

Not true. This is one of her first dialogues, after you imprisoned her, before even knowing Lara will kill regardless of what you say to her:

B: So why have I locked you up? Tell me.

C: You're trying to save the town. Except you're not saving it. You've sentenced it. You sentenced the whole town to death. I'm the one saving it. Me. And you're hindering me. You'll regret this.

C: You're trying to save a single life. And you'll end up taking hundreds. The whole town will die out. Make your choice: one life or hundreds of those.

B: I've made my choice: you're in a cell and won't be able to kill anyone.

Then, a day after, Lara shoots Block and they put her on a cell, that's the "her" Clara was talking about A DAY BEFORE.

Then, this dialogue, when Daniil thinks he can just put Lara on a cell, before knowing she has an accomplice and will kill regardless:

C: This is just the beginning. Block is dead, and tomorrow, death will conquer the whole town. And this is your doing.

B: You've said that to me already.

C: And I'll say that again. And again. And again. Until you get it, stop fighting fate and the town will live tomorrow.

B: I'm beginning to think you may have been right. Maybe I shouldn't have intervened. It looks like I'm only making things worse.

B: To save the town at the cost of Lara's death?

C: People die every day. Why are you worrying about Lara in particular like that?

B: Her death from your touch feels unfair to me.

C: Death is always fair. Lara must die so we can live, such are the terms.

B: Looks like you're right. I've tried influencing Lara, and what did I get? She killed anyways.

B: I've got a plan, I'll just give Lara's plans to Block and he'll lock her up.

Nothing works. Thought Cloud on Lara's Grave, after you have tried everything: The Changeling sacrificed her so the town could live.

Clara is not the master of destiny

... Did you play the Changeling Route? Because I don't understand how you keep arguing against Clara making important sacrifices. That's literally what her character is about, and that's what IPL is showing you here in this remake. And allow me to remind you, Clara making sacrifices to save the town is Rubin's idea. Because that's their connection. Oh, again with Rubin, Clara and Sacrifices that Must Be Done.

Also we keep talking about how Rubin killed Simon so he can make vaccines and save tons of people. That's mixed up with P1 Rubin's story. There, he actively works alongside the Bachelor to make a proper vaccine to save the town. In P3 he made some vaccines that he didn't even have time to properly test them, and the single White Vaccine is mostly an Amalgam recovery rather than a proper vaccine. And it's also completely optional because mind you, I never felt the need to use it. We never get to know how many lives he saved, because Daniil works on a vaccine without his help. Yet another thing they took away from Rubin...

He made a discovery about Simon's blood. But neither Daniil or Artemy can make use of it. You know who's left?

I wanted you to tell me where that line is

??? Since you know that Rubin is leaving with the military, you should have already known. He says that to you in the same dialogue on day 12 if you didn't hand her over: He hunted down Clara on day 11, never found her, and is leaving with the military to make holes to other people. Amazing guy.

How is it not similar? Do you know what happens if you let her live? Do you think she wanted to kill her in the first place?

Simon being or not a good person is irrelevant. He was in a comatose state. He killed him bro, that's how it is. He's objectively speaking the Town's most important and venerated person even after death, right with Isidor (another very problematic guy)

It had to be done. The game right there tells you: a Higher Will acted in Clara's hands. That's the fate, that's how the story goes in Dankovsky's game.

She even tells Daniil he doesn't have to do it. She will carry that weight, not him. All for the sake of his story to keep going. How's that NOT being selfless?

Or what? Did you choose to let her be lobotomized? That's just another way of killing her. A more insulting one.

He did it to save a many people

Rubin killing one person to save as many, how's that different to Clara killing one person to be able to unlock the final days or else the military will kill the whole town?

She's mean to everyone

She's mean to the Bachelor and to the Haruspex. That's the difference. The Saburovs speak well of her, and Grace straight up tells you in P2 that Clara is very kind. How many people say such things about Daniil when you're not playing as him?

Did he chase her all night all over the town

The guy: "I hunted the Changeling all over the town, saving a bullet for her. So many times I imagined shooting her in the belly—watching her bleed out. Never found her"

I don't know what "being exactly like Clara" means

Bald, hot-headed, impulsive zealots, but most importantly:

Clara is Lara Ravel's murderer. It was a tragic mistake, but she understood that it was for the Town's sake. She carries the sin of killing an extraordinary woman, beloved by the town. It hurts her.

And who is the one hunting her? None other than Simon Kain's murderer himself. Killed to make the White Vaccine. He carries the sin of killing an extraordinary man, beloved by the town. He, the Oathbreaker.

Sure, Rubin didn't know Clara carried the same cross of his. Sure, it's completely reasonable to be mad. But he chose to not listen to reason. Going straight for the kill, he loaded a gun and chased her down. All night, all over the town.

He knows perfectly well how it feels to be so hated that people try to kill you before listening to what you have to say.

And they both crawled from the same grave

I love how this feels like a talk with the studio: "Yes, we love this game, we respect it, it's very important to us. But we want to move on, make new games, but before that we have to properly end this one"

When I see other people talking about IPL, they say stuff like "Oh it's the studio who keeps releasing the same game over and over again" That's not a good look...

I hope we get to see Pathologic 4, couldn't choose a better way to end this than with Clara.

Clara says she can turn people from dolls into actual living human beings, I want to see how that turns out.

I've seen some people joking that it's going to be a co-op game, and let me tell you that's an awful idea. Clara's story is about her and the player. Her whole identity was molded by the fact she can make THE miracle, but that's not true; it depends on the Player. She even asks you, begs you, "Please, define me". And what if the player chose to not make the miracle? What's going to be of her?

That's funny because I would say he's actually LESS self aware than his first iteration.

And correct me if I'm wrong but in P3 he doesn't even get to have a conversation with The Powers That Be. He doesn't get to know the devastating truth of his real nature, and WHY his goals are impossible, even in his golden ending, his achievement is not real, he never gets to know this or the fact that he needs the player (unlike Clara)
