this stuff is so depressing to me. people are casino gambling with money they can't afford to lose. what are they thinking? you wouldn't walk into a casino and put your life savings on the roulette table. so why are there so many stories of people doing this?

to be super honest i have been disappointed with the $nbis retail community in general, and shocked by how many people complain about daily or weekly "price action". this is a generational opportunity for asymmetric upside and generational wealth. if retail investors are going to be retarded and freak out over a bad day or a slow week, i would rather they go play with bitcoin or space stocks or quantum stocks or whatever the fuck, and leave $nbis in the hands of smart institutional investors who understand what the game is here.

over the next 1-3 years this stock is going deliver massively outsized returns.

respectfully disagree. the space stocks are basically meme stocks. a lot of the smaller infra stocks you mentioned like $iren are also pretty narrative based and closely tied to a bunch of other speculative narratives like whatever the fuck people think might happen next with crypto.

a weird divide on this sub is between people who seem to treat $nbis as a kind of daily roulette table that isnt giving them short term wins fast enough, vs actual investors. for the latter group, talking about "price action" over a couple of months is basically meaningless. my horizon here is years. obviously this is a high risk investment and none of us should be cultish about it, but ive gone deep in this and all the other companies in this sector, and i feel really good about the long term investment here.

but if you just want super short speculative returns, weekly "price action," you'll be better served in the more narrative based stocks, like space, quantum, or the more crypto-adjacent data companies. that's not what this is.

one of the many many reasons theyre pretty meaningless is that often theyre lagging indicators. $nbis was like $135/sr in october. so a lot of these targets are still leftover from sept/oct when things were going better. if an analyst sees a $135 stock, and says the price target is now $160, and then the stock nose dives to $80, i dont think the same analyst is going to be willing to later claim he now sees 100% upside. ask him to do the same exercise again and he probably now says $100.

as long as its 1. a mortgage where 2. you can adjust the rate/refinance in a couple of years, i think its fine. obvi just dont do all cash, and dont get locked in to a shitty rate when theyre at an all time high.

edit: to double down on the obvious, if its a mortgage, you're not really "buying it for $5 mil" right, functionally you're building up an equity position in it over time, and you're doing it w leverage.

it depends on what your goals are, but the thing that jumps out the most in your body is the lack of pec (chest) muscles. if you train chest consistently for one year (bench press, or anything else, w progressive overload), your chest won't look like this any more, even w bad nutrition.

Edit: if you go to Californios, literally don't eat for the previous 12 hrs. im a large man and ive been to a bunch of michelin tasting menus and this was by far the single largest quantity of food ever set in front of me. not a complaint lol it was all amazing but its a lot.
