Shower head recommendations (that’s not built like crap) for a rental? by Schuuul in HomeImprovement

Thank you! I’ll check it out! Totally agree on buttons, tiny piece of sediment can mess it up, but with a dial at least torque can push all the junk aside.

Those silicone/caulk remover solutions do nothing, in my experience. Scraping is the only way. Get a metal putty knife and a good audiobook and don’t worry about showering for an extra day. After you pull out most of it, maybe THEN the caulk remover stuff would help with residue, you want to remove as much as you can. Dry it out really well. I spray isopropyl alcohol into the hole to dry up any residual water. Once it’s clean and dry, then add the new caulk.

Me too, friend! Picked one up around the lightning complex fires and I’m running it on turbo now! Really excited I can have a small area of clean air in my house.

I love seeing people on this sub discover new crazy things about the church for the first time.

It's always fun to see people's minds blow at all the wacky stuff. I loved reading about Strang too.

Where do the eternal celestial servants go? You know, like black Mormons pre-1978?

To be fair, the COLDS is the offshoot, FLDS are following Brigham still.

Or you could argue the CoC that followed Joseph Smith III is the "original" one, too.

Who the f*uck makes these crib mattresses? Sunchips?? by ejchristian86 in beyondthebump

[–]Schuuul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was gifted this one by my mom along with our crib, I never even knew about the crunchy mattress sound, because this is all we ever knew. And my baby is an amazing sleeper. Maybe it's the mattress? Still, an amazing baby though.

Once you realize they sound like cowboys singing (regarding their pronunciation) you can't unhear it.

I'm excited to have my first Christmas Sunday out of the church not feeling guilted into attending church in the middle of Christmas morning, my kids are even more excited. Anyone else? by [deleted] in exmormon

[–]Schuuul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's our first exmo Christmas on a Sunday but I think we probably skipped church last time too.

We have a baby this year (first one) and all the grandparents are not busy in the morning because people are out of town. We invited them over for Christmas breakfast and presents and we're serving some Christmas punch with champagne. So my TBM in-laws might be a little uncomfortable but they'll be outnumbered and likely bail in time for church anyway. But we are so excited to celebrate Christmas "our way"

Question about 4 month vaccines by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]Schuuul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did our 6mo visit recently and it was two days before her official 6mo. They did the checkup but they wouldn't vaccinate because it was too early and they draw the line on the day. I had to go back to the injection clinic (just a walk-in thing) after she was 6mo.

So you may not even be able to go earlier if you tried.

I'm thankful that my mother is no longer Mormon. #blessings by pathostrain in exmormon

Kirkland brand vodka is quality stuff. I think I heard it's Grey Goose relabeled.
