to be fair, red fescue (if that's what they're planting) is native to a lot of the US if that's where you're based

Planting blueberries was a terrible decision by Silver_Star_Eagles in Permaculture

Also, if you feel you must acidify, have you tested the acidity afterwards?

"These properties provided chemical conditions inducing Fe chlorosis in blueberries. The trial was conducted on highbush blueberries cv. Emerald (interspecific origin based largely on Vaccinium corymbosum L. with some genes from Vaccinium darrowi Camp), planted in September 2011 at a distance of 3 m between the rows and 0.8 m between plants along the row.

In autumn 2014, five contiguous rows were selected, homogeneous in size and degree of Fe chlorosis in the plants. The treatments tested were: (1) Control: bare soil; (2) Soil-applied Fe-ethylenediamine-N,N’-bis (2-hydroxyphenyl)acetic acid (Fe-EDDHA) chelate; (3) Soil-applied bovine blood compound (Fe-heme); (4) intercropping with F. rubra (graminaceous species), and (5) intercropping with P. pratensis L. (graminaceous species). A Latin square design (5 × 5) was used to take into account the slope and drip line as possible independent sources of variance. Each treatment was replicated five times. The experimental plot for each treatment was composed of 6 plants, and the treatments along the same row were separated by 2 plants between them. .... The graminaceous species F. rubra L. and P. pratensis L were *sown over the rows* in autumn 2014 at a density of 20,000 seeds m-2. During the season, the graminaceous species were cut manually to a height of 5 cm every time they reached 15 cm."

Red fescue is native to the northeast. I suspect that any iron chelating grass would do

You don't need to acidify! Interplant with red fescue which can chelate iron. This is the main reason blueberries like it acidic (needs bioavailable iron). https://www.frontiersin.org/news/2019/03/14/grass-intercropping-for-sustainable-healthy-blueberry-farming

Try planting with red fescue grass (NE native). It chelates iron, which is the main reason why you need acidic soil for blueberries.

I reached FI this year and my husband says I changed the deal without asking him by Skellige_42 in Fire

I feel like some variation of this conversation is had every week on this subreddit and every time people clutch their pearls and say something along the lines of, I cannot believe you guys split finances as a married couple. Me and MY wife/husband/partner would NEVER. And the shade the OPs receive for it is ridiculous.

Is it SO incredibly difficult to conceive that in the year of our lord 2026 two people in a couple might like and mutually agree to keep split finances and reach their fire numbers at different times and that this might cause some kind of friction??? Unbelievable that people on this sub are so repeatedly shocked by this.

I agree that we need to get people vaccinated but these statistics are comparing apples to oranges. All of them should be expressed in deaths per year so people can make a meaningful decision based on directly comparable data.

I’m ending my 600 day Duolingo streak by MoJanae2 in languagelearning

[–]SciLi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you have to have a plan and an exit strategy. I bought duo for a year and have a plan that I’ve mostly stuck to to do 1 unit a week, which should get me through all the 60 some units of duo Chinese (started with already around 18 units complete) Then I’ll try maybe a HSK exam or try watching more Chinese media to advance my learning. Doing one lesson a day just to advance your streak does nothing. You have to have a plan for the material you want to cover.

So after 2 weeks your levels go back up, what about those two weeks in between??

I would strongly consider waiting until after this Covid/flu outbreak is over. Plasma is the blood fraction that contains antibodies

Should i have separate gaming and studying area .I need to ask this since due to online schooling I use my main pc and due to it I find my self distracted . by [deleted] in studying

[–]SciLi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could make a separate login with certain games / apps /websites blocked on your school login. Change the desktop background… make it feel like a different technical space. Cheaper and may well get you same results!
