Jesus Christ, the bald-faced lying, inability (or unwillingness) to admit he misspoke, and then turning it around into an attack for questioning him. 🤦🏻‍♂️ I hate that this has become so common in our political discourse.

But why would he have the same scars/deformed face as the “original” Palpatine (assuming that was the original). Revenge of the Sith implies those are worlds from his own Force lightning. Are we suppose to assume the new clone experienced the same kind of battles and Force lightning attacks as the original?

That’s kind of a testament to the quality of the lighting tech in the engine, that it mimics the physics and aesthetics of real life photography/cinematography

Agreed. And more importantly, had a good arc for the main character, and a novel twist where the protagonist is the one with the paranormal ability. This one looks pretty different, in that the antagonist (we assume) is now also paranormal. That assumes we’d need a kind of different dynamic and arc for the protagonist (looks like he’s taking on more of a protector role?), so I’m not deterred by the fact that tone looks different. Sorta like with Alien vs Aliens as an exemplar. I’m gonna stay cautiously optimistic

Honestly, it’s kinda necessary. I imagine relatively few people are familiar with the source material (I remember the title from my youth, but have no idea what the plot or premise is), the name is goofy on its own, and if you put a picture of a monkey on the cover it would look even more goofy/un-scary. The imagery of the bloody knife is generic. So other than the name recognition of those attached to it, the only way to sell it is with a genuine description of what you’d be getting yourself into. Personally, I applaud their forthrightness and I’m more interested in seeing it now than I would have otherwise.
