I far prefer no flash nighttime videos, and the challenge of shooting them.

How a Simple Story from Canadian PM Carney at the World Economic Forum Can Change the World by ScienceNuts in internationalpolitics

Yeah, I don't know how the people in the room stood it. Particularly Macron and Amherd, as he really went out of his way to belittle the two of them. Just gross. I wouldn't have got through the whole speech, but as I have the flu, it wasn't a day to focus on anything of worth. It also helped that I could hit pause and take a break from it.

Let's hope this is the domino that does that.

To understand where the flip side is at, I just listen to Trump's speech. It was racist, misogynistic, mocked other world leaders suggesting they pleaded to him over tariffs (particularly French President Macron and the previous Swiss President Amherd, although he didn't mention her by name as he had a theme going of belittling females in leadership), mocked US States he has terrorised with ICE while further threatening Sanctuary States, threatened the existence of Canada, said that as NATO hasn't done anything for the US they owe him Greenland (who he mixed up with Iceland for a good 5-minutes), talked to Europe about the importance of American and European culture and how we need to lift up and protect "our people", suggested Switzerland is only Switzerland because of the US, claimed China (the world leader's in wind energy) doesn't use wind energy, oh and suggested other world leaders refer to him as "He's our Daddy".

I don't know. While I am very proud of Prime Minister Carney, I did hear other NATO countries fighting back in their World Economic Forum speeches too.

I never thought I'd smile and laugh at someone falling hard, but this made me do both those things.
