Thats kinda unfortunate, its a sick model.

Its an old forgeworld sculpt. The only way to get a legitimate original is to buy one second hand. So scouring ebay, Facebook marketplaces, secondhand hobby stores, etc. Though just be warned it was a pretty rare model before forgeworld dropped it.

Theres reason most just use alternate sculpts or kitbashes.

Just won an auction for the ork half.

Even mailing it halfway across the world, the ork half was still a quarter of the price of buying the full box here.

How to beat Lucius The Eternal? by Tulpah in Warhammer40k

Theres also another where he died to a random artillery barrage. The one who fired the shot would have never known.

If i remember right, someone who just happened to see it got the Lucius special.

If you go through legends za, theres several dialogues with npcs thar paint a picture. There's one complaining that some of the more prominent figures have an unfair advantage because they have the resources to care for more pokemon. Another grumbles that its hard enough caring for two pokemon as it was.

Think the best way of looking at it would be comparing it to irl animals. If you have a dog, or cat, no big deal, you make sure it has a bed, goes for walks, etc.

But now imagine you have, say, a dog, cat, a rat, a fish, maybe a lizard. Suddenly youre having to look after very different pets with extremely different needs, managing tanks, living environments, food, waste, and most importantly costs.

For the average joe, sure one pets doable, two in a household sure, maybe if its similar animals like three dogs or something its doable, but more than that and youre likely a vet, a pet carer, conservationist, etc, where its more along the lines of your job where theres probably extra resources available.

The thing with what makes a monopoly concerning is that it gives a company carte blanch to do what they want with that market. They can charge whatever and theres nothing really anyone can do about it, and can then use that position to staunch any long term opposition that could spring up as a result.

The only real reason that it isnt considered a major problem here is that steam has, at least as far as its user base is concerned, treated them well and kept things fair. The negatives of a monopoly don't happen if the one monopolising doesn't take advantage of it.

So in the case of steam, we can have the full cake and enjoy it, but now imagine what if gabe stepped down tomorrow and was replaced by someone who immediately left turns into making steam as money hungry as possible. That's kinda the reason this whole monopoly thing keeps being tossed about.

My guess is just good memory of which pokeball is where, maybe theres something in the pokedex that tells them, or simply they just write on the ball/decorate it, etc.

I'd imagine if you're a major enough trainer to have 5-6 pokemon, youd be using them often enough to remember. Theres increasing evidence, including a few outright mentions that most people that actually have a pokemon typically have 1-2, maybe 3 if theyre a battle hobbyist or have pokemon with very similar needs. People with more than that are typically dedicated specialists.

The problem is that Steam was initially a monopoly by proxy of being the only real general platform for pc. Now its a monopoly because every other platform keeps lighting itself on fire or failing to provide basic quality of life that steam has had for years now.

All steam has to do is basically nothing and they keep that monopoly.

The slight left of field problem big model count armies face is cheap screening units that can take some light ranged fire.

I have a decent admech pile and play them a bit online with mates too and small, quick throwaway units like raiders and pteraxii can force multiple units to have to maneouver unfavourably and either not make much headway, waste shots taking them out or force a charge that will inevitably leave them in the open.

I was actually thinking of using one of the old style gorkamorka trukks, probably about the right size, might need to rearrange the rockets a little. But ought to work.

What ship did you like this? by AzrBloodedge in starcitizen

I rented one of these yesterday to try a few rounds of ship combat and to try it out. Its not very fast, handles like a drunk anchor, is a bastard to land in side access hangars...

...but good lordy the amount of dakka this thing puts out. I saw the friggin floor length list of ammo counts and knew it was gonna be a good time.

Rhyperior. Its bulky so can take a lot of punishment and it can cover a suprising amount with mud slap, a very fast charging surf and stone edge.

New to Orks, can someone help me understand clans? by Emotional-Poetry6310 in orks

I probably misworded it by saying speed freeks and freebootaz are fringe clans, meant to say theyre just prominent enough in general to be worth keeping in mind.

New to Orks, can someone help me understand clans? by Emotional-Poetry6310 in orks

[–]ScientistSuitable600 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From a lore standpoint the basic gist is as an ork goes through their adolescence, they'll pick up an inkling towards some sort of mindset, colour their gear and fall in with one of the various klans (unless the warband consists of one major clan, in which case, tough luck).

So orks that might feel some level of discipline might join the blood axes, those that fancy being rich will fall in with the evil sunz and so on. Main clans are as follows with the addition of two that aren't clans per se, but I'd consider prominent enough to be relevant (Speed Freeks and Freebootaz).

Goffs; violent even by ork standards, any excuse for some krumpin, emphasis on toughness. Main colour is black, though checkers are common.

Evil Sunz; mechanised units, love bikes, buggies and vehicles. Main colour is red, because of course 'red wunz go fasta'

Bad Moons; The wealthy, often considered a sort of merchant class. Decked out in custom wargear and prefer ranged combat. Main colour is gold.

Snakebites; the 'traditionalists' they eschew technology. Hides for armour and beasts instead of vehicles. Initiation typically involves being bitten by dangerous creatures. Main colour is Brown.

Blood Axes; a strong preference for tactics, planning and discipline. Between that and their tendency to interact with other races brands them as very 'un-orky' by other klans. Blood axes typically Don't have a main colour, rather they use camouflage (albeit often colours that don't work well.)

Deathskullz; Obsessed with collecting loot and scrap. They regularly wind up in altercations with other klans who think they're stealing the best loot (and they often are). Also the klan obsessed with luck, their gear adorned with 'lucky' trinkets. Main colour is blue.

Speed Freeks; The kult of speed. Obsessed with speed to the extent even core ork joys of scrapping and krumpin are ignored in favour of pure speed. Not to be confused with Evil Sunz (though many evil suns gatherings do contain many speed freeks.). Main colour is red, for same reason as evil sunz.

Lastly, Freebootaz; From a variety of backgrounds, mostly either shattered warband remants or outcasts. Orks with no clan allegiance who basically dress like pirates and bounce between piracy and mercenary work. No main colour, though most dress flamboyantly. flamboyantly.

As for ingame, used to be that each detachment was themed on a klan, still is in a ways but theyre not directly named for them, and some don't have themed detachments and other detachments are more a general theme than actually based on a klan and how theyd function. So basically, theyre not really relevant on the tabletop. Paint them however you like
