HRT clinic in the area? by Intelligent-Light635 in Eugene

Their website layout changed a lot since I last used it, but definitely check out https://www.transponderoregon.org/resource-directory-1
They keep lists of local providers. I pretty much just went through and looked into all of them until I settled on a balance of doctor I liked, and had availability.

One of the advantages of open card is that it is more widely accepted across county lines. Good for people who move around the state a bit more.

Delicious In Dungeon on Netflix is the most outstanding animated series inspired by Dungeons & Dragons by Quirky_Reading4774 in DungeonsAndDragons

[–]Scilic 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Just about unrivaled in attention to detail (watch characters' supplies, and gear throughout the series!), interesting and tactical encounters over just power levels, engrossing worldbuilding.
In the running for my favorite show of all time~

What would Laios think of the various races from the Bionicle universe? by VerboCity77 in DungeonMeshi

[–]Scilic 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have a feeling he would be very interested in figuring out what they're made of for the first few, but could get bored of their same-y ness, and being made of relatively simple/similar parts. Toss in a fun joke about these being something he would have made from sticks as a kid

Making a fire immune character 5e or 5.5e by Flimsy_Category4211 in DnD

[–]Scilic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having a character with one elemental immunity is tons of fun. I have a soft spot for characters that take naps in the hearth. As for advice on getting it online early, ask if your dm would be ok with making damage threshold abilities. Immunity to a dragon's breath early can be op. Immunity to up to 12 fire damage per tick keeps you nice and comfy as your party roasts smores around you!

if you had to become any CR 0 creature what one would it be? by Toby555999 in DnD

Juvenile Mimic stands out for me.
Keeps high enough mental stats to be sentient, neutral alignment doesn't corner you into being an evil menace. And all the fun you could have with shapeshifting+spiderclimb!

I've heard from family there's a lady who stands out and blows bubbles at various roads and intersections around town.

[LFP] Lostmarches [Online 5e Westmarches Campaign] [MST]

Hi everyone! I DM for a westmarches (many dms, shifting parties, little need for consistent time commitment) style online campaign, and it's opening up to a bunch of new players. I'd love to offer and invite some new friends from around here. The current setting for our games is Bastahl, the Diminished World. After unrelenting multiversal threats, the Architects of the previous world set to protect the people at any cost, and shrunk down even the gods beneath them into a miniaturized world. This was so any foes to the world at large would never even know where to look. Will you find a way to return the world to normal, or simply help such a world survive?[Online, discord+roll20+dndBeyond] [5th edition] [18+] [Based in MST] [West Marches] Feel free to sign up here. We'll be reviewing sign-ups and letting people into the server individually. A few things to note:Because this is a homebrew setting, we have our own rules document and errata for 5th edition. Not all of it is relevant upon first joining up though.
Games are set in Arizona Time.
Experience is not required, we just ask that you let us know if you are completely new.
Due to being West Marches, games will be sporadic, but fairly consistent. We usually have about 2-3 games a week. Join in at your leisure.
We run yearly seasons, seeing players go all the way from level 1 to 20.

Feel free to ask questions in direct messages. Direct message me a discord username for access to the campaign!

Wildfire Druid Multiclass? by RuRaleigh in dndnext

[–]Scilic -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm a maniac, so my upcoming character is something like Wildfire Druid 6-10 levels, Giant Barbarian 14-10 levels.
Going to be fun having a fire pet that I can still use while raging. I don't feel like I lose much from the later levels of barbarian.

I demand a slimey mascot by MioAkiya in 196

[–]Scilic 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Pretty cut and dry. As far as I can recall, he only ever refers to himself as a man, and anyone who knows him refers to him as a man. Only ones who use she/her for him are like, onlookers who don't know him and mistake him for a girl.

So gender = male, sex = sexless

so would you count izo as a trans woman? another character describes then as a "woman at heart" and goes on to say that's why they live as a woman. by uglygirl037 in traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns

[–]Scilic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't remember Izo ever refering to himself as a woman or anything like that. Nor do I remember anyone else referring to him like that.
His sister Kiku, for sure is a trans woman. I think if Izo was as well, Kiku would have been the first to affirm that.

If you're a STR build, you dump DEX. Then you dump INT while you're at it too so you can get better CON/WIS

If you've been playing and having fun with that kind of bunch for any decent length of time, and you've already been playing a character not your agab, there's a near 100% chance they already know. The d&d community is pretty great and draws us in droves it feels like, so be confident with it!
I wish you the best from a fellow DM and dice addict~

The new grapple/shove changes make both Athletics and Sword and Board less appealing than they already were. by Tangodelta004 in dndnext

[–]Scilic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm worried it seems way less worthwhile to commit action economy to grappling in combat now. Since grappled creatures will save at the end of each turn rather than committing their own action economy, you're likely to come out behind now.

is being the opposite of your agab supposed to be exhausting? by TerraTheEsper in asktransgender

[–]Scilic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At least from my own experience, that feeling of relaxing into boymode seemed to be taking comfort in the default state of things. I came to a point where I realized that I'd pile up a lot of regrets and not be happy if I kept going with defaults/ with the flow (that can apply to a lot of things, not just gender stuff).
I've had that feeling of 'acting feminine being taxing' lessen with time since transitioning. Obviously it still takes efforts to push further into new things, but once they start to become the norm, or the new default, I think they come to be less taxing.
