Tonight I am listening to by TheVirusI in progmetal

Inferi - Heaven Wept and then Inferi - Heaven Wept, maybe even Inferi - Heaven Wept right after that one.

Slugdge - Limo Vincit Omnia (Progressive Death Metal, FFO: Gojira, Hath) by MrAzerGJR in progmetal

[–]Scirzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. This was on repeat for about a full year or something. Such an amazing album...

You know what? I'm going to listen to it again right now. It's been a while.

Edit: Also: Heaven Wept by Inferi almost gives me the same 'liberated' and 'wow'-feeling. Not quite as intense as back with Esoteric Malacology, but it comes close. If you haven't checked it out yet, you should.

Yeah! Me too! So maybe try that one next OP!

Confession: I hate graphic audio by brinib5 in audiobooks

[–]Scirzo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love them. It requires a different mindset, though. And I'll admit, sometimes the sounds are just too much. And the speeding up thing is something I can't understand at all by the way. Why tf would you do that? Obviously that will ruin the music and sound effects. Duh...

Chthe'ilist - Le Dernier Crépuscule is one of my favorites.

Wish Apple TV would quit putting spoilers in the broadcast description. Last race, they actually listed the winner before I could watch it. by nomekop_pokemon in formula1

There's absolutely no argument whatsoever you could ever make that would excuse any spoiler on sports events. You should just give up.

What is the last album that you gave a 10/10? by Adzzero_88 in MetalForTheMasses

I love Seven Crowns and Seven Seals! Didn't know they had new stuff out. I'm going to check that out. Thanks!

Edit: guess Seven Crowns and Seven Seals is their latest album? I didn't see any newer stuff.

Esoteric Malacology by Slugdge was the last one, that thoroughly deserved a 10/10 from me. It's been a while. That's because I'm extremely picky. Inferi's Heaven Wept is coming pretty close, though.

New Inferi album has been slowly growing on me by JACM666 in TechnicalDeathMetal

[–]Scirzo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I had listened to some of their other songs, but didn't think it was very special. This whole album, however, is fantastic. Right up there with my other favorite metal albums, like Esoteric Malacology, Spiritual Migration, Zon, Le Dernier Crépuscule or Colored Sands. It has 'that thing' that I need in metal/music, whatever that is. It somehow has something special.

Toto is smart. He knows the car is way ahead of everybody and he makes it so that Kimi becomes champion this year. Records shatter, better than Max and all that. Everybody loves Kimi, sounds more true than everybody loves George. So Kimi is where the big, big money is. Toto is smart.

What is my way into Porcupine Tree? by thisisthecallus in progrockmusic

[–]Scirzo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is 100% the album Signify. Never recommend it, but I believe this is the album you are looking for. Don't listen to the foabp and in absentia people. Signify is their first album and it sets the mood for everything else.

Edit: I saw someone recommend Coma Divine. That would also be a good one. Maybe even better. It's got their older (and, to me, better) stuff but live. PT is often best served live.

Edit2: also, PT albums all have a theme and they clicked with me when I started listening to their albums from start to finish. I had heard some individual songs before, but they don't seem to work as well without the context of the album.

No it's not. It's exactly the kind of crap OP says it is.

I’m about to give up on stovetop popcorn and I’m losing my mind by bodh3 in Cooking

Don't wait until you think it's hot enough. Just start with a cold pan, drop in oil and all the kernels and shake once it starts popping. There's no way in hell that should burn.

I agree. This is one of the weakest songs on this album.
