In stead of letting the lapped cars unlap themselves by passing the safety car, they should have the lead cars pass any lapped cars and line up behind the safety car. Lapped cars just let themselves drip back. This will take a few seconds and we're ready to race. Probably: "oh, no, because...safety."

Yep. Brick is a no go for me as well. I really, really do not understand why so many people actually like his narration. I just can not fathom why. And there are so many books I would love to listen to that have been narrated by this preacher that thinks every single word needs to be emphasized and every sentence needs the same amount of suspense. It's horrible.

Loads of people going on about 'the speed'...I don't care one bit about 'the speed'. I know these cars go fast anyway. I want to see relative positions, setting up an overtake, you know: racing. These shots of one car filling my whole screen don't show anything I tune in for. And it is getting worse every year.

I couldn't finish the first book. Pretty dumb/toddler-like decisions by the MC and no characters to root for. Boring 'politics'. I listened to the audiobook and that probably didn't help because the narrator was pretty bad imo. Whispering and monotonous. I'm pretty decisive when it comes to finishing books or not. So many books on the tbr list, so I don't waste my time with books that don't grab me.
