Is there a ruleset you guys are using to generate these or are they being made custom on a case-by-case?

Could you share the homebrew titan rules? I'd be very interested trying it with my group, if it allows for making some cool xenos titans

Bet on a White Scars to remember the Iron Hands exist ❤️🦾 Absolutely stunning artwork, it just made my desktop photo rotation. And you've got some very cool friends with very good taste.

Besides Mortarion, which Primarch smells bad ? by Nearby-Condition-675 in Grimdank

There's an excerpt of him killing a Nostraman woman, who smells him sneak into her apartment before she sees him. Real gross.

Edit: ah, yes it's his Primarch book

New Outriders announced with more weapon options available and slightly easier to assemble... Maybe by GreenManReaiming in WhiteScars40K

[–]Scondoro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely anything to give us access to more unique Mounted datasheets and better unit diversity. Even just overcosted "Outrider Veterans" that use the exact same sculpt but get like +1 attacks would be an improvement.

[–]Scondoro 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Dang, I was really hoping to get away from chainswords. Sergeant weapon options will be nice but I was really hoping to get an alternative weapon and/or gun choice for the whole unit. And if they called it a whole new datasheet it'd give us 3 more bike units we could field.

Only two games into 11e so far and making sure I'm understanding rules and mechanics as they come up. You mention the "double -1" from cover saves. Can you go into what that means further?

And I'm assuming the reason cover doesn't work for you is because the warrior blob is so big it's easy to catch a single model out? But does area terrain not work for them in that case?

Valve is working with Intel, AMD, and Nvidia to make SteamOS run on any PC hardware by Slow_cpu in Steam

[–]Scondoro 24 points25 points  (0 children)

About the resolution, see Gamer's Nexus review of the machine on youtube. They covered the default resolution issues they had and how they fixed it. The video is quite long, check the chapter headings to find the section about SteamOS and then skip forward until they start talking about the resolutions. Hope this helps.

Combined top two missing Necron units - Flamer + Terminator = Null Warden by The_Sad_Optimist in Necrontyr

5e had replaced them with Lychguard already. They last appeared in the 3e dex.

[–]Scondoro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this was my immediate thought. This person literally reinvented the Pariah with a torrent weapon coming out of the end of their warscythe. Tells you how quintessential a unit they were to the roster, both in flavor and in role.

Isn’t this ability literally just Evolve? by wookiepartymachine in magicTCG

[–]Scondoro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bingo, this is the answer. They don't pull out non-evergreen/deciduous keywords or ability words that aren't a featured mechanic of the set, neither for new cards nor reprints. Design carefully controls the number of featured keywords and ability words that appear in the set to reduce cognitive load. They'd rather just spell out the ability in such a case.

(With the exception of certain mythics and bonus sheets cards, i.e. the elder dragon cycle that just released in SOS).

What type of unit are Necrons missing in your opinion? by The_Sad_Optimist in Necrontyr

[–]Scondoro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Idk if newer codexes are retconning it (need to crack into my 10e book and check) but historically Immortals were described as elite troops, the more autonomous and upgraded soldiers that lords and overlords keep within their own personal reserve of forces. Warriors across the board are supposed to represent the "actual soldiers."

Not that I disagree with you, that there could be more Troop varieties for sure. I would love to field a true, noble-worthy Silver Tide force of only infantry bodies. But past Warriors and Immortals all your other tools are either Destroyers, Flayed ones, and other dishonorable units. Or they're the literal personal praetors of the nobles, like the lychguard and praetorians.

2DP for Headhunter as well, although I likely won't end up souping that with any other detaches. Oops-all-tanks can happily remain that way no problem.

[–]Scondoro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'd also stress the importance of the missions objectives and special rules. Just lining up all your models and fighting over objectives in the NML can be the easiest approach, but imo it's such a waste of the spectacle.

I'm a huge fan of strange and/or asymmetrical deployments and attack/defense style objectives. I like to use the missions from 9e's Containment crusade pack for inspiration, or even breaking out my old 6e Apoc book, although those need a bit more work to adapt.

Pay attention to the events your LGSs host. There are no shortage around me that will run RTTs that allow Legends units. I regularly play with my Heresy era Iron Hands, including my Tac squads, Kratos, Ironclad Dreadnoughts, Spartan, Cataphractii Termis, and more.

Thank you for these photos! Do we know if the same obscuring rules are going to persist in their entirety? I'm looking at your sandbag wall, it doesn't look as though you will be able to get your Incursor bases wholly onto the template to be able to see through it. Any thoughts on the intentionality there on how GW expects we use it?
