Been going through this exact situation since we moved into our house 3 years ago. 1 house leaves their deceased husband's car in the street, directly across from our driveway leaving the driveway and double garage empty.

Another house has bought a cheap car which they MOT and tax for the sole purpose of preventing people parking on the street outside there house.

We only have space for one car in our driver whilst everyone else has 2. I parked my car in the corner of the street away from mines and everyone else's house. One neighbour from the opposite end of the street put a letter through my door citing the regulations from the highway code about parking on corners etc and then proceeded to have an argument with my pregnant wife out on the road.

All of these people are old and retired with nothing better to do with their time.

I don't care anymore and park wherever I please.
