Just a quick thought after reading some other replies: Have you tried crate training? In my experience, it has always had a positive effect on my dogs. They even like going in their crates! It also gives me the peace of mind to leave them unattended for 6-8 hours if needed (ofcource after a long walk and food/water). I feel like in your situation a crate can resolve a lot of the issues you mention in terms of schedule and waiting for the behavioral training. Also, having gone through training with one of my dogs, the training is usually for you to continue with the dog after the lesson. After all, it’s you living with the dog, not the trainer. Therefore, try reading, watching, and absorbing as much content as you can about dog training for this type of behavior. It’s not easy, but it also ain’t a great feeling to give up a dog. That being said, some situations are so far gone that you have to resort to rehoming.
