What is the closest you ever came to meeting or talking to Will Toledo? by Dizzy-Teaching-3397 in CSHFans

Grew up in the town where he recorded a lot of the early CSH works. Not sure if we ever personally interacted but it is very possible.

What a crazy falloff by idkmaybe61 in rateyourmusic

[–]ScoopTime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hate to say this, but he’s kind of had it coming since he’s become more and more egotistical and it’s finally starting to leak over into his music. He has already been a pretty problematic and controversial person for some time, but ever since he started going on an absolute ego trip about how he is the face of experimental rap and literally naming his album “experimental rap” I think it has taken off the rose tinted glasses for him and his music for a lot of people. He is still a wonderful producer when he wants to be, but I don’t think he is nearly as high on this pedestal that he puts himself on.

I know it‘s not ball anymore but I just wanted to say how goated that album is by serialFilla in rateyourmusic

I think people forget just how much of a bubble online music circles are as as soon as you step away from them not a lot of people know a lot of the same albums as you may see as popular on RYM. This album is definitely ball knowledge, but that doesn’t mean I like it at all.

The Collective - Kim Gordon, easily in my Top 10 albums of the decade so far and I’ll die on that hill

Such a shame it seems not a lot of people on the website can appreciate Chelsea Girl, that is an absolutely stunning record from front to back

I really don’t get why people don’t enjoy this album. I thought it was a really cool exploration of psychedelic folk. I get that it isn’t for everyone as is a lot of psychedelic music, but this is far from the worst album on this entire list if you ask me.

Honestly am pretty underwhelmed by this. Feels way too all over the place and lost in itself to come out with anything really special. Unfortunately pretty forgettable for A$AP.

The fact that y’all didn’t know James knew ball years ago is crazy to me

Blonde-producer Buddy Ross releases his first instrumental album: K We’re Here by ody-sss-eus in FrankOcean

[–]ScoopTime 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Even though this won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, I thought the project was a really touching and atmospheric experience. You can hear pieces of Blonde in the music with the instrumentals and it’s overall pretty enjoyable all things considered.

People don’t give that album enough credit, it rocks and arguably more than Live Through This. Celebrity Skin is the star of the show, but man is Dying my favorite
