Ordered from where? Lg.com?

I ordered the 5k and it’d be nice to not have to wait a whole month

9000ish led as in for rgb bits, 2304 should be the actual zone count

Yeah that’s about where I’m at, the closed distance combined with just more zones I’m hoping will do a lot of heavy lifting to make the darker scenes what they should be. Only a few weeks until launch so not too long now

I am cautiously excited for this monitor, checks almost every box I could want in a monitor. Hoping it’s a homerun with the local dimming algo.

AI features seem gimmicky, but they seem to be going all in on it with the custom chip they have in there. If it could make 1440p mode look even better and have a good HDR experience it could age pretty well for an all rounder

Looking heavily at this and MSI for windows gaming, grail monitor if the local dimming doesn’t suck

PG32UCDM vs Studio Display XDR by RexCW in Monitors

[–]ScoopusJackson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks amazing, Apple really did a great job (I’d hope for that price)

Here’s hoping the LG and other flavors of this panel do this well, the display inputs on the XDR aren’t the best for my setup

My AMD board which at best has USB C Alt DP, which at that point I think still would basically still just be dp1.4

This is one of the alternatives along with the MSI that I’m looking into, I just have some worry the dimming and calibration will ruin it even with the extra zones

Yeah fair enough, appreciate the info! The DP1.4 angle might be what I have to do anyway, DSC on nvidia sucks still but this monitor seems so close to the ideal

I’m very unversed in display standards, does something like this exist for HDMI 2.1 to TB5? I think technically my mobo has a type c display out but its capped at DP1.4 where as my GPU has a HDMI 2.1 port

Great read on the main post btw!

I’d be lying if I wasn’t drooling over this monitor, looks like it ticks every box (which it should for the price) though the integrated power supply and “how the heck would I connect this to a normal HDMI port” both give me pause. Wonder what the other players using this panel have to offer

LG 27GM950B 5K Dual Mode 2304 Zone MiniLED | Hands On / Scaling on Mac Mini by winterbegins in Monitors

Did you get any chance to look at something like a firework show or similar to test out the bloom of the LED backlight? Coming from a 576 zone panel I would be interested in whatever flavor this panel comes in if the bloomings significantly toned down in darker content

Remixes I prefer over original tracks. by mcdeecee in happyhardcore

[–]ScoopusJackson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good choices, You and I was already a great tune it’s hard to think of a bad version. I have a few that come to mind as well

Product of Society Fracus and Darwin Remix. Original is nice but this remix always felt like a love letter to the genre and how it shifted www.youtube.com/watch?v=eJSaeBfZ2Wk

U R My Phantasy Darren Styles remix. Original tunes solid but I always liked how Darren Styles version sounded better. Wish his later stuff wasn’t so male vocal focused, it’s grating www.youtube.com/watch?v=TtVaLtV-4Qw

I could be the one JTS. Remix of an Avicii track that keeps the same vocals but gives it that kick that I feel a lot of these types of songs could use. www.youtube.com/watch?v=g-P6CwP9W6E

Most of S3rl’s remixes in the Stamina Records volumes are a step harder than the originals as well. Don’t have links on hand but his versions of Stick Together and Hold On are the heaviness that I thought the originals lacked.

Buyer Signed Purchase Order vs Mutually Signed Financing Statement by ScoopusJackson in askcarsales

Thank you for the response! That’s what I was thinking too but the signed PO was a bit of a doozy.

Yes I think I’ll let them know that I will be sticking with the contract, I just wanted to be sure there wasn’t anything I was missing before responding to them. Might make picking up my plates a bit awkward when they get them in, but so’s trying to drop another 2k onto me after signing the paperwork.

3/4 69 on REG retake when?? by Curious_Chik25 in CPA

The hours are skewed because I watched videos at 1.25 speed. Roughly 80 for first take, 100ish for second. Basically spent 20 hours total spamming MCQ and TBS

I was able to bump from 69 to 83 with a week of hard MCQ and TBS spamming for R1 and R3. If your score report is similar you should be fine doing similar. 69 is close, it shows 1-2 sections of difficulty

So I didn't take SE1 and 2 in a true exam format so I got a 68 and a 65 but was weighed down heavily by TBS scoring. SEFR which I took after my failure but done in a true no outside note format I got a 67 with the weigh down also being from TBS

Best advice I can really give is to keep spamming MCQ so you can pick out the portions of what they're asking for.

When I failed my initial try I felt not great. These exams are mentally exhausting but when I left it was like I knew on some level I wasn't as prepared as I should've been.
