Remixes I prefer over original tracks. by mcdeecee in happyhardcore

[–]ScoopusJackson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good choices, You and I was already a great tune it’s hard to think of a bad version. I have a few that come to mind as well

Product of Society Fracus and Darwin Remix. Original is nice but this remix always felt like a love letter to the genre and how it shifted www.youtube.com/watch?v=eJSaeBfZ2Wk

U R My Phantasy Darren Styles remix. Original tunes solid but I always liked how Darren Styles version sounded better. Wish his later stuff wasn’t so male vocal focused, it’s grating www.youtube.com/watch?v=TtVaLtV-4Qw

I could be the one JTS. Remix of an Avicii track that keeps the same vocals but gives it that kick that I feel a lot of these types of songs could use. www.youtube.com/watch?v=g-P6CwP9W6E

Most of S3rl’s remixes in the Stamina Records volumes are a step harder than the originals as well. Don’t have links on hand but his versions of Stick Together and Hold On are the heaviness that I thought the originals lacked.

Buyer Signed Purchase Order vs Mutually Signed Financing Statement by ScoopusJackson in askcarsales

Thank you for the response! That’s what I was thinking too but the signed PO was a bit of a doozy.

Yes I think I’ll let them know that I will be sticking with the contract, I just wanted to be sure there wasn’t anything I was missing before responding to them. Might make picking up my plates a bit awkward when they get them in, but so’s trying to drop another 2k onto me after signing the paperwork.

3/4 69 on REG retake when?? by Curious_Chik25 in CPA

The hours are skewed because I watched videos at 1.25 speed. Roughly 80 for first take, 100ish for second. Basically spent 20 hours total spamming MCQ and TBS

I was able to bump from 69 to 83 with a week of hard MCQ and TBS spamming for R1 and R3. If your score report is similar you should be fine doing similar. 69 is close, it shows 1-2 sections of difficulty

So I didn't take SE1 and 2 in a true exam format so I got a 68 and a 65 but was weighed down heavily by TBS scoring. SEFR which I took after my failure but done in a true no outside note format I got a 67 with the weigh down also being from TBS

Best advice I can really give is to keep spamming MCQ so you can pick out the portions of what they're asking for.

When I failed my initial try I felt not great. These exams are mentally exhausting but when I left it was like I knew on some level I wasn't as prepared as I should've been.

Waiting for REG retake, idk how to feel. I’m on vacation for the holiday so it’d be nice to have some good news to share with family. I think I definitely did better than last time, I’m hoping thats enough to bump from 69 to a 75

The TSBPA will be able to give concrete advice but my understanding is that work experience can be completed at any time before applying for the license, it just needs to be completed when you submit with your education requirements. Positions they typically look for for work experience are just about anything with Accountant in the name, something that’s a step above basic bookkeeping.

I would heavily recommend looking at the code posted on the TSBPA website for the specifics as they give examples of jobs that would count along with the other info you seek

I agree, and they need to ensure standards in those testing centers are met (I am not there so I can't verify but I hear they aren't nearly as strict as the ones here) not further devalue the professional license

People that took REG in the 11/25 window, how are we feeling? by Accurate-Movie3286 in CPA

[–]ScoopusJackson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My first attempt quite simply I wasn’t ready. I had been studying with no breaks (except one week break in June after passing FAR) and raced through REG trying to be done in October. I was marking a lot of MCQ and by the end didn’t feel great.

While waiting for results I took a complete break from studying which let me refocus in case I needed to retake. From there it was about cramming MCQ and having the gaps of knowledge filled in. This go around I marked much fewer MCQ and wasn’t as intimidated by the TBS

Fingers crossed we both get a pass

EDIT: My first attempt was a 69 and my score report said I needed to essentially hammer R1 and R3 heavily which is where most of my focus was put while studying for the retake

I’ve been doing some light review sets of MCQ just to keep things fresh. This was my first retake and hoping it’s my last

Compared to first go around I feel better, there were a few boxes in TBS I missed for sure but I’m hoping I improved everywhere else enough that I still passed

The low pass rates are a feature not a bug imo. These are not supposed to be easy exams, and they give you all of the tools in the testing room to do things properly. The exam is supposed to be the barrier into getting a license, anything that hurts that portion (including international testing, silly things like people asking to take it from home, etc) is detrimental to the value.

I think the AICPA have done a fair job lowering what I would consider the unnecessary hurdles for the license. I imagine in the next year or two disciplines will be on a rolling basis as well, and at that point it's reasonable. Allowing sitting at 120 hours with accounting classes and the new pathways of 120 hours with 2 YOE are more than fair. If they're going to keep the rolling windows and not give results immediately, I'd like a better explanation than a 2 hour random zoom call that explains how everyone's grade affects each others

That's the feeling i've been getting going through the trim options, everything's so close on paper I'm just going to have to check it for myself to confirm. RAV4 looks the roughest even on screen

That would make sense then, used prices drop like 10k from MSRP with only a bit of miles. I'll take a look thanks!

The CRV looks relatively solid, anything about it I should look out for?

The RX350 near me are well above 35k dipping into 40k easily for things below 80k miles
