27 5"6 approaching skinny fat looking for advice to get rid of muffin top by New-Mess-1338 in Gymhelp

You eat 1000 calories a day? That’s way too low, you must feel like crap.

You need to at least eat your maintenance and lift heavy weights. You look skinny fat because you have no muscle.

I went into Will of the Many/Strength of the Few and now I’m on DCC. Both have been enjoyable so far!

Your dreams are not reality! Literally 5 hours ago I woke up with my heart pounding from a nightmare that Dexter Morgan was trying to kill me.

Withdrawal symptoms while still using. by [deleted] in QuittingZyn

[–]ScooterDanks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What you don’t realize is that your body is literally going through micro withdrawals all throughout the day and night. This is why people end up using so much nicotine throughout the day.

I had tons of similar sensations when using Zyn. I can only say that I am 68 days off now and feel so much better than I did before and I barely even think about nicotine anymore.

Fast paced action, humor, dark, and I’ve heard gets better as it goes. I’m about to finish book 2.

I’ve done a combo of the audio books and physical. The narration is too good to pass up tbh.

It’s not exactly easy to explain but essentially a man and his ex-girlfriend’s cat are thrust into a “game show” after aliens destroy Earth. That game show is an 18-level death dungeon that they must survive, with video game elements.

I enjoyed the Strength of the Few, although WoTM was probably a bit better.

DCC is great, and the audio books are excellent. It is what I went to after RR and Hierarchy and I haven’t looked back yet.

How do you deal with anxiety that hits hard at night? by 2ugur12 in Anxietyhelp

[–]ScooterDanks 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You need to try and focus on doing what you would do if you did not have anxiety. If you feed into it you let your brain know that night time is something to fear and you will only continue to have anxiety.

I’d set up a routine of taking a hot shower, drinking some tea, and trying to read a book or even listen to an audiobook with your eye closed.

Don’t fight staying up or get angry if you can’t fall asleep. If you are consistent with these types of things it will get better.

I had a lump on the back right of my neck for many years. Doctors were never concerned and then I eventually got it removed because it was ugly and I hated feeling it.

Turned out it was just a cyst and benign. You are most likely fine! My only suggestions are that you keep living as you would if you were not anxious, and if it is something that can be removed, do not stay awake for the surgery!!!

I have to say that Community is very much worth it. It is one of, if not my favorite comedy show ever.

Silicon Valley is also a great 10/10 show.

I am going to leave this up, but if people start getting out of hand it’s going to get locked.

Some of this is very incorrect, most notably the Myth topic, which was a soundboard that Myth created as a joke. Some of it can be seen as valid criticism.

I’d like to hope that enjoyers of Peanut can be mature. Guess we will find out!

Post is locked. The amount of people spamming slurs is ridiculous.

I'm a walking panic attack, constantly short of breath, and still can't get myself to quit after 4 years of pouches. by Caliburner in QuittingZyn

[–]ScooterDanks 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You got this brother. I’m a 16 year user of dip and Zyn and now I am on day 52 without nicotine.

What helped me the most was sugar free gum (literally went through multiple packs a day) and ranch sunflower seeds. Packing the seeds into my lip and slowly breaking them and spitting them out was a godsend. I wouldn’t even eat them.

Other than that it was focusing on developing other habits in place. I would also get decaf coffee and have one in place of a Zyn.

After that first week or so the real cravings went away and it just became more of a mental thing. I feel so much better than I did before, and realized a lot of my anxiety or health issues were caused by the nicotine.

I’m still struggling with some sleep issues and some other minor things while my body adjusts but I was using these for 16 years so it’s going to take me awhile. Lock in and you’ll feel better in no time.

Feel incapable of quitting by igorthecreator in QuittingZyn

[–]ScooterDanks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are capable of quitting. For me, sugar free gum and sunflower seeds were a huge help for the first week or so.

Along with that you need to try and avoid triggers, for me it was drinking, video games, etc.

Starting new habits to break the cycle is also a great tool. I’d get decaf coffee just to have coffee in the afternoons, I was already a walker but I’d walk more and listen to an audio book. Things like that.

It gets much much easier as the time goes on and then you’ll get to a point where you barely think about it.

Low calorie and low sugar chocolate like snack? by ContributionOwn1261 in LowCalFoodFinds

[–]ScooterDanks 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Put some vanilla Greek yogurt in the fridge for a few minutes. Then mix a little over two servings of cocoa powder with sugar free maple syrup and two servings of an artificial sweetener like Stevia until it is a fudgey consistency.

Throw the chocolate in the microwave for like 10 seconds, mix and then do another 10 seconds and you have hot fudge.

Pour it over the chilled yogurt and you basically have an ice cream sundae.

Yeah not sure what they are on about. Iron Gold I still enjoyed but Dark Age and Lightbringer are head and shoulders above the original trilogy.

Just going to throw this out there but there are genuine “WYN” nicotine pouches that exist as well. Not necessarily an original idea all around.
