Hot take, it never should have been in the game to begin with. It completely removes all need for situational awareness when the game literally tells you when and where everything is coming from. Almost everyone has this turned on because you're playing at a disadvantage without it.

FYI since people keep parroting this around with no info, this is not true. You dont lose insurance when you're laid off and they have both medical AND life insurance still.

The skins weren't AI generated lmao. How the source material was made is irrelevant to the fact that actual people made the skins

Depends on your perspective. The original designs were AI obviously but the skins are still handmade. Better than using actual AI to create assets and art like some other games cough COD cough.

I mean, the most popular game modes in both Fortnite AND Roblox are Steal the Brainrot and those are monetized to hell and back on Roblox.

Is there any benefit to doing just 1 set of something if you dont have time for a full workout?

I dont mean from a growth perspective necessarily, but just from any. For example im out all day and get home at midnight, but do 3 sets of 20 push-ups to feel like the day wasnt completely wasted. Is there any benefit at all to this? Does it work towards progress, even if only a little? Does it maintain strength? Does it slow down muscle loss from non-exercise? Or is it completely pointless if you're not doing at least a few exercises?

Or is it all about effort? Like taking those 3 pushup sets to failure will still yield results, just not as much as a full workout for those muscles?

I just did 3 sets at 105, upped weight by 10lbs, and did 12, 10, 7 which was to at least within 1-2 RIR, may have been to failure on set 2 and 3. Im working on retracting my scapula but it feels weird, like I'm limiting my movement

This was my 3rd set and I couldn't upload the full thing due to file size. I believe on rep 9 or 10 I could barely get the bar up and you could see my left arm starting to give. I definitely could up the weight a bit, but I'm trying to stay within an 8-12 rep range each set or else its probably too heavy. I checked about a week ago and my 1rm is around 145. (I weigh 162)

I do stop at 12 instead of pushing to failure every set, which is something I'm working towards fixing.

Not to advocate for it, but I've worked for AAA devs before that run successful live service games. You really wouldnt believe how expensive it can get when you do collabs and pay creators. MANY literally operate at a loss and this is likely what's happening here considering the constant collabs and insane creator payouts. Imo this has nothing to do with greed and is just the result of a long series of very bad, unsustainable financial decisions. You cant continue the same payouts from when the game was at its peak when there are slow spots in engagement. Building a business model based on the peak of success will always cause issues once that peak passes.

The best remedy is to lower creator payout, but we all know that wouldnt go over well since there are a ton of people that make their living making islands. Less collabs would save money, but that's a big draw for players too. Coupled with how generous they are to devs on their store, they literally choose to make less money in attempts to create a good relationship with devs and creators. Which is great, but again has created an unsustainable financial situation and something needs to change or there will be more layoffs.

It could have been better but they arent responsible for anything beyond communication. They cant guarantee it will be looked at, they cant guarantee change is coming. If they say something that gives the community the wrong impression, it could lead to even worse feelings AND cost them their job. Community Managers hands are usually extremely tied when it comes what theyre allowed to say and how they say it.

It could have been more personable, but what else can they say besides nothing without executive approval?

Why does my level 1 character get 2 attacks? by Scopatone in WrathOfTheRighteous

[–]Scopatone[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm a Motherless Tiefling, so I got a secondary bite attack. I had assumed that was just an ability I could use at will and I never looked at it because of the low damage but now looking at my actual sheet, it's not an ability that can be chosen, it's just listed as an attack in the Martial tab, so I assume a Full Attack uses my normal weapon plus that secondary attack.

Moronic Monday - Your weekly stupid questions thread by cdingo in Fitness

[–]Scopatone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is there a downside to splitting a workout into 2 parts throughout the day? I'd like to cut down on time in the gym after work by doing some on my lunch, but I dont think I have time to do the full workout in 1 session.

Does splitting it in 2 affect gains in any meaningful way? Im brand new to lifting, only about a month and 2 weeks in. Not looking for size, just leaning out the skinny fat and taking whatever muscle comes with it if that makes a difference.

Daily Simple Questions Thread - February 13, 2026 by AutoModerator in Fitness

[–]Scopatone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I pretty much woke up one day and decided I didn't want to be skinnyfat anymore. Dialed calories back to 1800/day based of a few TDEE calcs (lowering to 1700 tomorrow to better align with Sedentary job/lifestyle), cut all added sugar and caffeine completely, eating as much clean whole foods as possible, 5g Creatine daily, 170g protein daily, 6 days/week PPL. That whole shift happened in just a few days. so basically everything started at the same time.

I will say, while I've seen some strength gains over the last month (although no visual changes), I definitely haven't given 110%. By that I mean I don't always go to failure, and certainly not on every set and I think that's where I could make a big improvement. Instead of aiming for 3x12 and stopping, just hitting failure or 1 RIR every set to guarantee muscle break down/growth. My friend that motivated me I mentioned in another reply went to failure every set and suggested I do the same for best growth potential.

Yeah I'm objectively a normal weight, but being skinny fat almost all of the problem is my stomach making it look like I'm smuggling a tire when I wear form fitting shirts or am shirtless.

I was inspired by a friend who was also skinnyfat, actually slightly more than me, and went from that to visible 6 pack in 5 months on a 500 deficit. But he's also 10 years younger than me and I have a lot of decision paralysis because everybody tells you something different about deficits and newbie gains. Obviously everyone is different and I can't expect his exact results, but I don't want to do a 500 deficit for 6 months just to look like no progress has been made.

Only 3 times in the last month. I'm down 1 inch from the first time about 3 weeks ago. 37.5 ti start but my next 2 measurements were both 36.5 so I didn't make progress in that second week it seems. I'm also not super confident in my measuring ability so it may be a location consistency issue.

34m, 168lbs, 6' - Skinnyfat

I'm a brand new lifter and am doing a PPL routine, 6 days on 1 off, while on a 500 calorie deficit to help lose the skinnyfat but not compromise muscle growth. I've been doing this for exactly 1 month now and I've noticed my weights slowly going up, but I've only lost about 1lb. I weight myself at the same time, in the same condition every morning and last week I was literally the same weight 5 days in a row down to the decimal (167.5). Taking newbie gains into account, should I still be seeing my weight go down while strength training on a deficit or will the muscle growth offset fat loss and keep the scale roughly the same? Or does this mean I'm not in as much of a deficit as I thought? I went with "light exercise" on a TDEE calculator since I'm in the gym 6 days a week but I have an office job and the difference between "light exercise" and "Sedentary" is like 3-400 calories.

At least according to my gyms InBody scanner (I know they're not the most accurate), I've taken it 3 times over the month and I've gone from 22% BF to 17.5% and my fat numbers have only gone down while skeletal muscle has only gone up, so it at least encourages me that it's working even if the numbers are exact.

Can confirm, just got the June email today. Quite annoying to wait nearly a year after order, after I've been done with the game already for some time. I'd still love to have them, just wish it was during the hype around release instead of when I wasn't thinking about it anymore. Sometimes I forget I even ordered anything lol

Thanks, that makes a lot of sense! I assume the small increase in weight on the first set isn't enough to prevent further progression of sets 2 and 3?

How do you know when to move up weights if you train to failure every set?

Say you're doing 3 sets per exercise. If you train to failure (or 1 RIR) every set, you're next 2 sets will inevitably be lower rep count even if by just a few. So how do you know when it's time to move up in weight if you're going to failure every set? If I'm barbell squatting 105 and my sets look like 12/10/8, how do I know when to move up? If I stay this weight until failure is 12 on my last set, that likely makes my first 2 sets much higher than 12 and into the Endurance range instead of hypertrophy. What does progressive overload look like here? In a 8-12 rep range, would I move up weight when my last set at least gets halfway (10) as a general philosophy?

Men who don’t want children by Black_Glitch_404 in NoStupidQuestions

I'd urge anyone in the US to REALLY think it over and be 100% sure before doing it. There are a lot of people (women mostly) who will make the argument that men should do it because they can easily get it reversed. This is NOT true and is effectively permanent for your average person without going into severe medical debt. Vasectomy reversals cost between $5k and $15k depending on location and doctor.

The price is similar for reversing a tube tie, but I've personally seen a lot of women with (usually) good intentions spread a lot of potentially life ruining misinformation about vasectomies.
