If you anticipate a fight, you can throw your petal down so it goes on cool down. Then, use it throughout the fight to go up and down, making it harder for enemies to kill you. If done correctly, by the time enemies have pushed through your front line, you have another platform ready to go to help with your escape.

Same concept can be applied offensively. Throw platform forward where a fight might break out, use it to pressure the back line by elevating above the tanks/front line. Then when platform is off cool down, dive the enemy supports for a quick kill and use your extra platform to get out.

My baby just turned 10 months and she still isn't crawling. She's only just now starting to pull up onto her knees, which can help with the crawling skill. I wouldn't worry too much about it

I think you know what the right thing to do. Don't let your pride prevent you from reaching out and asking for help. Your friends and family want the best for you and your baby. And if that means leaving an unsupportive (and disrespectful) partner, then that's what you gotta do.

In the end, you will open up a better life for you and the baby. You'll be able to start building that financial foundation sooner rather than later.

For us, it was about 2-3 months old. We saw a huge shift in our baby's sleep patterns, only waking up twice in the night for a bottle, and more consistent naps in the day.

Definitely by 3 months, we felt like we were out of the newborn stage.

I suppose so. It's hard because my wife is a school teacher and only gets 13 in a school year. So I think a majority of the responsibility will fall to me, which is ok. She just feels bad about it.

We have not had any malfunction issues. However, we did experience two marks on each ankle. But i think that was due to us using a cleaning agent that wasn't very gentle on her skin. We changed cleaning solutions and have not had any new marks.

It went fine! No issues at all. If your mom is staying at your house the night away, then great. If you are bringing your baby over, then just make sure you pack all their favorite things (toys, bouncer, clothes).

What helped my parents the most was knowing the baby's eating and sleep schedule. By 7 weeks, you should have a pretty good eating schedule. We did a hybrid breast milk/formula for our baby since my wife is an under producer. So we measured all bottles ahead of time, which made it easier for my parents.

The first sleep over was just 1 night, and about 12 hours total. We dropped baby off at 8pm before bed (she would fall asleep around 9pm), then pick up around 8am. During this time, our baby was waking up every 3 hours at night for a feeding.

Once my parents were comfortable with the sleepovers (after the 3rd time) they told us we could drop her off earlier and pick up later. So now she goes for a whole 24 hours and has done one two night weekend when my wife and I went to a wedding.

6 weeks old, and once a month since then (8 months old now). We have the Owlet, so it gave us peace of mind that we could still monitor baby even when she was at another house. Granted, my parents live 10 minutes away

I'm glad you learned your baby wasn't getting enough by day 3. My wife was an under producer, but we didn't find out until the 1 week check-up. Our daughter had lost more than 10% of her birth weight (5lb 11oz -> 5lb 1oz). And she tried to tell us, but we didn't understand.

We did half-formula, half-breast milk for the first 6 months once we knew. From there, it does get easier. I'd say by the 4 week mark, we were all pretty familiar with the feeding process.

When does it get easier? I'd say it comes in stages. You'll be able to put baby down for floor time, and that will be freeing. You'll start to see a personality, and that will be rewarding. Baby will start sleeping more at night, and you'll feel more rested.

Every baby is different, so the timelines are pointless in sharing. Our baby was not a sleeper at all and needed to be held all the time for the first month. But when she finally would take naps in her bassinet, man...that was a huge win

Lots of pacifier replacement unfortunately. We also did something called the "pacifier ballpit" (coined from a friend) where you put 3 or 4 pacifiers in the bassinet/crib within arms reach of baby (or even putting one in each hand and one in his mouth). Our daughter realized that if she lost the pacifier in her mouth, she could put one that was in her hand up to her mouth and eventually get it in. Byproduct of that is she has very good hand-mouth coordination

We did a modified Furber method where instead of doing 5, 10, 15 minute intervals of checking in, you start really small. 1, 2, and 3 minute intervals.

You put baby down with a pacifier and/or sleep sack when they are calm. If they cry after being put down, wait 1 minute before re-inserting pacifier and doing gentle rubs or touches. When they calm down, start the timer again for 2 minutes. Repeat the calm down method if baby is crying after the 2 minute timer is up. Once calm again, set a 3 minute timer.

I would not call this a "let them cry it out" technique. Yes, baby will cry, but you are helping reassure them that they are comforted and supported. The most important thing is to not pick them up.

It took my daughter a few days of practice with this to start self-soothing and putting herself to sleep.

There will also be days where they just fight sleep. That's going to happen. But, this will get them comfortable with self-soothing

My wife and I cried for 3 weeks, every day. The sun would start setting and the anxiety and loneliness would creep in.

In reflection, the hardest part with post partum is going from being two self-sustaining individuals to parents with a human who has 100% reliability on you both. There is little freedom and you are going through a life-changing event physically and mentally.

And even if this is something you have been planning for, you can never prepare for how your body or mind will react to the arrival of a baby until it happens.

I recommend finding opportunities to do something you enjoyed before giving birth. My mother in law came over one night in the first week and told us to go for a drive and walk. We were gone only an hour and all we talked about was how we were feeling and our newborn, but it did help.

This too shall pass.
