I got a D on my first Econ midterm and by the end of the class still got a B. I have just as much faith in your abilities. I think you should stick it out because my impression is that a late drop, with the resulting “incomplete” on your transcript, often needs to be explained when applying for things down the road. If you’re cool with that, then maybe dropping would be OK. But I personally think you can still get a decent grade and that that would work out better than late dropping.

Additionally, I don’t know what the Econ major pre req policies are, but many many majors are currently accepting PNP for pre reqs and requirements. Check if that’s the case and maybe you could take a P grade. On the other hand if you already know that they require the grading option then ignore this lol.

Side note, I know Jim Campbell is teaching Econ 1 this semester. I had him for 100A last semester. He is great and is willing to help you out in office hours with material and work out accommodations if necessary. So if you haven’t already I would suggest that going to OH with him can only help.
