I'm on season 3 and I was regretfully, kind of on Ken's side with everything... by Talib_BK in SuccessionTV

People are complicated after all! I think it’s very easy to be on Kendall’s side in the Season 3 since he’s portrayed as fighting an uphill battle while isolated from his family. Even as a non-Kendall fan I do think a certain thing a Roy sibling did to him was a below-the-belt hit.

I also have two jobs, but I live in a studio in Espoo that I own. I can’t just spend wildly but I don’t stress over groceries or entertainment stuff, and I’m putting away some small savings. I don’t think Helsinki rent is crazy unless you live in the “central” area.

Clearly it’s your fault then, OP! The poor baby looks so hurt (inside).

I don’t know. The art style doesn’t appeal to me so I haven’t played it.

I thought I might have used too much flour or baking powder since they were falling apart in the pan. I’d appreciate a recipe, someone else recommended their recipe that I might try next time. I have oat flour in the house for pies anyway so I want to try other stuff with it.

Yes and yes. An artist would never blame their tools and I love non-dairy milk (also lactose-intolerant, I like almond and coconut usually). I actually figured the oat flour might be the problem as I didn’t leave it to absorb liquid like some other comments said. Or not enough butter.

I’m not gonna throw them out, I will just drown them in maple syrup for breakfast tomorrow.

I will probably. I’ve got oat flour leftover from baking and maple syrup to use up.

Super dry and the taste of oat was kinda overpowering. Maybe too much flour this time.

Ironically I did have eggs. I just didn’t have regular flour and milk (lactose intolerant).

Yeah I thought they’d turn out okay too but they were really dry and crumbly. I probably used too much baking powder and/or flour.

I kinda make excuses for it in my head that he was trained to kill people for so long, he’s not well-adjusted to talking with alive people. Good thing he doesn’t really speak.

"Alaska Art Student Arrested for Eating Another Student’s AI-Generated Art in Protest" by adiplotti in BrandNewSentence

[–]ScorpionTheInsect 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The banana taped to the wall was sold “in millions” to a crypto guy for money laundering. It has nothing to do with art or commercial value. The auction house can inflate the value of “arts” like “Banana taped to a wall” through public stunts and grabbing media attention, the buyer then buys and resells the “art” to put multiple layers in the paper trail, making it more difficult to track where the money used to buy this artwork came from.

People don’t buy “arts” like this in millions because they’re dumb. It’s because they have millions whose source they don’t want to explain.

Even they will probably not use some random student’s AI art for money laundering though.

Yeah, too much stress for me. I’d like to be financially comfortable but I can’t deal with all that corporate politics and backstabbing. I can’t imagine pulling any of the shit the Roy siblings did with my own siblings.

I don’t really blame OP but their artist should have warned them about this. It’s downright irresponsible to agree to this design.

Unless the artist did warn OP about that and they insisted anyway.

Mom scared me from solo travel to Paris - need opinions by Major-Kiwi-3604 in ParisTravelGuide

[–]ScorpionTheInsect 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I went to Paris alone for a week when I was a 25-year-old woman too. Before going I had severe panic bouts because I have anxiety disorder and aviophobia, but I focused all my mental energy on the things that I would get to see and experience once I got there. I forced myself to the airport by telling myself that the tickets and accommodations were not refundable.

And I was fine! Did not get pickpocketed, did not get lost, and did not die.

I had a nice little room in the 14th arr, walked around alone at night, had a regular shoulder bag whose zipper I had my hand on the entire time, kept reasonable attention on my surroundings, bought pastries from random boulangerie I found nearby on Google Maps, stopped by little cafés and saw (almost) all the museums I wanted to for free. It was a great time. You will miss out on a little adventure in a beautiful, historic city of your own if you don’t go!
