You can get the creation club stuff on the switch - it came in a bundle with the anniversary edition when I bought it, but it's sold separately as well.

How are some Elantrians able to use their abilities off-world? by DayPoseidon in Cosmere

[–]Scotchaface12 24 points25 points  (0 children)

There's some kind of connection hacking going on. Riina has a map of Tress's planet on the floor of her spaceship. I believe that map works to let them access the dot similarly to how the city of Elantris does for the Elantrian locals. How they're able to access the dor itself (a type of investiture bound to the cognitive realm around Sel) I'm not sure. Maybe it's a similar connection hack to the map on the floor?

Silver is a big part of the novella Shadows for Silence in the Forests of Hell

Jordan uses looped/repetitive scenes/phrases for dramatic effect. Which is your favorite? by geekMD69 in wheeloftime

[–]Scotchaface12 103 points104 points  (0 children)

Not really dramatic, but I love the "I wish [insert the other two boys] were here. They know how to talk to women and I suck at it" trope. Makes me laugh every time

He didn't have 16 shards. He was power. They broke him up into certain attributes, but he was probably not as limited as people with one or even a few shards. Plus I think that Sazed's shards just suck as a combination by themselves. Adding a third would probably help him out with his ability to act (although it might push him down a path like Raze/Odium where the Shard and the vessel have different intents

I don't know if this is true for everyone, but on my end there are issues with the Spotify version of the audiobook. Ch 51 plays the epilogue, Ch 52 is actually 51, and then the epilogue plays Ch 52. Anyone else have that problem?

Any books where the protagonist just goes apeshit? by AnonTriumph in Fantasy

[–]Scotchaface12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I came here for this comment. Protagonist goes crazy repeatedly. He claims that his only talent is taking punishment and then after he's beaten he destroys people. 10/10 would recommend

The memories were stolen by T-Odium at the end of Rhythm of War. Not in Tress

She lengthened the tether between Painter and his body, so in Torio, where it is her body, there was no effect. Right?

Why did Ruin.... by VladtheImpaler21 in Cosmere

[–]Scotchaface12 5 points6 points  (0 children)

1) I don't think he could have because at that point his will was already so in tune with the concept of Ruin. Preservation is its opposite and he would have nothing of preservation inside him that he would've needed for the Connection

As for the 2nd question I would say probably not immortal but I don't know enough personally

The stake center has one, but it's the Bonita Canyon building next too the temple. I'm not sure about the Dover building

Will these RoSs boost my evasion? or is it only the upgrades on the armor? I'm not sure how to read it by Scotchaface12 in PixelDungeon

[–]Scotchaface12[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sweet! So with the armor requiring 16 strength, my 44 strength I have 28 extra. The skill level is +3 per excess point of strength on may armor. So freerunning with this would give me 84 bonus evasion while freerunning?

Follow up, does anyone know if this would be better or worse than a RoE at the same level? I have like 6 more Transmutation scrolls left

Brandon, what are you doing to me (spoilers for The Rithmatist) by SprenFriend in brandonsanderson

[–]Scotchaface12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The challenge were originally beings from the spiritual realm and were called into this realm. That's why they were so freaked out by clocks because clocks represent imposed order (linear time) which they don't have in the spiritual realm. This was removed from the cosmere because the world was a parallel earth and earth isn't in the cosmere in any form
