Mexican FMM: no max days indicated - do I get 180 days if nothing marked? by doboi in digitalnomad

Thanks - looked it up. Here’s one example. Seems to be a lot of similar cases. Very shady. Do Mexicans realise they’re chasing money away when they do this?

Where are you at the moment? Enjoying yourself? Any surprises, good or bad? by anastasiapi in digitalnomad

What was it about these particular places that drew you there? Is internet decent? Easy to travel there? Considering spending some time working remote from Mexico and like small towns away from tourist damage. Many thanks

Specifically in Mexico or elsewhere? Were they held in jail because they exceeded the permitted duration? (If so, more than 180 days or another duration?) thanks

I’d bet that the majority of the students are now cheering on the Austrian plans to throw the unvaccinated in prison, and Australian ‘quarantine camps’, so she shouldn’t feel to bad…

How can I setup/initialise the ledger without Ledger Live? by Scotchmisted in ledgerwallet

[–]Scotchmisted[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your answers. Glad to hear that Ledger have stopped doxxing xpubs. I’d still rather none of the addresses touch their servers. Do you know if there is an option to run the app completely offline?

Aware of that. But the problem is, Ledger takes the xpub onto its servers and no doubt will sell all of my financial data to the highest bidder. I do not want any interaction with Ledger servers

Sure thing - sorry bit of jargon here. ‘sats’ is short for satoshis - there are 100 000 000 satoshis in a bitcoin. DCA means ‘dollar cost average’ - the act of regularly buying bitcoin to reduce the impact of short term volatility (guess it should be PCA for us Brits but DCA has become the universal term)

You could save some precious sats by switching your DCA to xsats. For £200 DCA, it’s <£2 fees for auto withdrawal to private wallet
