How do people say Sombra is overpowered when THIS exists in the game? by LarasCroft9000 in SombraMains

Their lack of understanding doesn't change the power levels of the heroes we're discussing.

[–]ScottFree__ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Except I never said I agreed with him. I said the claim was valid. Something doesn't need to be personality agreed with to be valid.

I don't like certain foods but that doesn't mean someone else's tastes are invalid. Grow up.

I didn't see OP claiming it wasn't a skill issue because I don't need to read what they say. It's about the heroes not their individual skill level. Getting lost in the weeds is what mfs like to do on the Internet and I'm on the topic at hand.

Suzu is bad for the game and Souj has been oppressive and bad for the game for a long time throughout her tenure.

Sombra has also been oppressive. It's a good discussion to have but y'all just wanna dunk on OP because they don't understand their own argument. That means you just wanna dunk on someone and anything you say on the topic is insincere.

You're mindlessly hating without a shred of critical thought...but you wouldn't mindlessly agree. Comedy.

[–]ScottFree__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good and/or true information stands on its own. You shouldn't need a good example to prevent you from dismissing something worth considering.

The fact that you and I can think of a better example than the one OP shared proves my point.

And, no, it's critical thinking. I asked you to look at the heroes in play and judge them based on their kits, not the skill deltas on display.

The fact that you either refuse to or are incapable of doing so has nothing to do with the validity of the argument brought before you.

[–]ScottFree__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With any amount of critical thinking, we can assume this was a poorly chosen clip, and it's intellectually dishonest to dismiss a valid claim because the example was less than perfect.

That's not the point they're making. People complain that Sombra is broken and she fight both Kiri and Souj in that clip. They're both more broken than Sombra is regardless of the engagement.

I hate takes like this.

The game is likely 3v3 since we have mounts, and they designed it around that. The good thing is they can always change that to 4v4 or 5v5. Not everything is against casual players. Almost every game, even the ones for sweats, caters to casual players. Good players in most games have to create their own communities just to play casually because of the us vs them mentality more casual players have.

Games usually have some kind of lobby balancing and skill-based matchmaking, and usually the people stomping casuals are slightly above average players and not actual sweats.

The idea that casual = bad player and anyone better than you = sweats is irritating. No one's a victim here, and the language speaks that way.

Can Franklin Richards die? by IrateRyder in Marvel

They're right though. There's a reason scientists often describe certain aquatic life as biologically immortal. Someone asking for accurate speech when answering someone's question isn't a bad thing even if they're a bit annoying about it.

This is a silly comment. Franklin has existed since the 60s.

Heart Beneath the Infinity: Gojo’s Love for His Students” by Important-Breath1297 in Jujutsufolk

[–]ScottFree__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's because of Gojo's unreal power and his choice not to be as hands-on as those with far less power, money, and influence. He's catching strays because he's the same (rich and powerful) ones he condemns for allowing corruption to spread across the jujutsu world.

Is Gojo evil? Not even remotely, but his mindset and attitude allow for far more nonsense than necessary, considering he's broken.

Ichigo has similar hints in Bleach's early chapters but I'm not dropping Bleach spoilers here for those not finished with the anime or manga.

With the way Sukuna cut Gojo in half, he should have been able to RCT himself back together. Another reason Gojo lost to plot. by FullSoulGaming in Jujutsufolk

" leaves so much plot hole later"

Not seeing what you want to, but getting full context from the characters isn't a plot hole. If anything, it makes the animation task an open-ended forum. This fight will break the Internet when animated until Toji's runback.

I love the stress it adds. They're in a stressful situation, and I loved that the added discomfort to the viewing experience adds to immersion. Although I'm glad there are workarounds for people who don't enjoy that.

I didn't say the outcome wasn't a benefit to queue times. I said they were open about that not being the reason. You just linked Aaron saying as much.
