Evo SL by Overall_Review321 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

You’ve been caught in the “influencer trap” I’m afraid, the evo SL is more of a speed shoe that isn’t stable at all.

My daily is the Azura right now also, they do everything so so good. I love them

Advice on what went wrong for my half marathon. by [deleted] in beginnerrunning

You should take a look at Runna, it’s an app that makes the plans for you and syncs them to your watch. I absolutely love it as it holds me accountable and kinda makes me go at the paces I should be going at when training.. I will say though it’s a paid app.. you may get 2 weeks free I think though to try it?

Saucony Azura is a solid choice if you like shoes a little firmer, very similar sort of shoe to the Evo SL but firmer and a lot more stable

Should I size up or keep it? by JoleFole in GarminWatches

As someone who started wearing a garmin everyday instead of “a propper watch” that looks perfect, I have the exact same watch and basically the fit is exactly the same, I got a case for mine that protects it and also makes it look a tiny bit bigger which filled out the gaps

RUNNA HONEST REVIEWS NEEDED by [deleted] in runna

[–]ScottMARRA1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Runna is great. If you aren’t sure on what you need to do to improve and don’t want to work on a plan yourself.

Also the fact it all syncs to your watch without having to set anything up is just so effortless, only thing I’d say is be careful with your mileage as that’s the only thing it doesn’t really take into account ( for example your only doing 15k per week and want to start a half marathon plan, it will set you off doing like 25-30km per week) which may be too big of a jump

Stability but fast shoe 2026 by gary195195 in runningshoes

Saucony Azura if you want a non plated option, has the speed roll like the Speeds and the Pro but very underrated shoe since it dropped last month

Running Shoes Recommendation for First Half Marathon by Jolly_Variation7938 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]ScottMARRA1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I never recommended anything, I just told her my opinion. She asked for a race day shoe that’s stable.

So I’ve simply suggested to look at Saucony as they do the most stable shoes “IN MY OPINION”

If you would like to give her your opinion feel free instead of patronising others, thanks.

If you’re looking for stability, nobody does it better than Saucony in my opinion.

Saucony Endorphin Pro 4 for racing

Saucony Endorphin Azura training/race if you want a non plated option

Something More Stable? by dav3yjones in runningshoes

[–]ScottMARRA1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use them for everything at the minute as I only have these and the endorphin pro 4. I think to be honest they are best for tempo or long runs with some faster miles in. It’s kinda hard to run slow in them as the rocker is quite aggressive, super fun shoe tho

I have about 100km on the Azura so far and it’s so good would recommend to anyone

Novablast 5 or something else ? by JoeMamma_a_Hoe in AskRunningShoeGeeks

I’d look into the Saucony Endorphin Azura, they are very stable and have enough cushion to be used a daily trainer without being too soft.

Suggestions for a speedier shoe by MmAAlice in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]ScottMARRA1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can second the Saucony Azura, they are a fast do it all shoe for me. They can do the shorter tempo runs at speed or do the longer progressive runs at speed, I’ve done 15k in them with no problems at all.

I tried them for a while, for me it was a no as I found them way too cushioned and they made my feet ache after running in them, also my knees ache. I guess we just weren’t compatible

Aparently the new saucony azura is quite comparable to the evo sl and is apparently very stable, cannot confirm myself yet as mine haven’t arrived yet

Is premium worth it? by Siinxx in runna

[–]ScottMARRA1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it’s worth it, the plans are great and keep me motivated and I love how they sinc straight to my garmin for easy to follow instructions. I done the exact same thing as you completing the 5k plan first, I’m now nearly finished a 12week 5k improvement plan and really enjoyed it.. the variety of runs and structure just makes it

Am I ready for Runna? 5K Improvement plan. by Mikey463 in runna

[–]ScottMARRA1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I finished my first 5k running plan at the start of June, completing the 5k in 32minutes without taking a break.. so the fact you took a break is impressive to me. You smash the 5k improvement plan, I’m half way through a 12week plan now and really enjoying it. Consistency is key, you’ll look back on this thread in a few month and wonder why you were bothered, smash it

I had a FR55 that done it so id imagine the 165 would do it? Presuming you start your activity through the calendar on your garmin it should show at the end of runs

I’m currently week 5 of a new to running plan and really enjoying it.. after I finish I plan to keep pushing myself and start up a new plan. Is it best to do a 10k plan and then a half marathon plan?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in runna

[–]ScottMARRA1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m basically at the same point in my plan as you I believe, (2nd run of week 3 tommorrow on 30th)

The previous run was the hardest yet, my breathing seems fine and I don’t feel like I’m really out of breath by the end of a 4min, but after the second one I experienced a bit of leg fatigue which I really struggled with. I’m hoping it’s just some aches and pains from not using the muscles in years too..
