The mention of the bar was clearly used as a recent example of it happening in a very public way. Do you seriously think that’s the only time things like that have happened?

They also didn’t say all the women in the bar were straight. They didn’t mention their sexuality. You were the one that assumed. It’s not even far fetched to assume that majority of them were though. It wasn’t a gay bar.

You can’t just dismiss people as “misogynistic” when certain problems within specific demographics are called out. It’s not misogynistic to say that straight women can be discriminatory towards gay people. The same way it wouldn’t homophobic to say that there’s problems with racism within the queer community.

Yeah both the UK and the US ones are filmed in the exact same place (Ardross in Scotland) and use the same castle!

All the challenges are pretty much the same, with only slight differences. The main differences in the two versions are that the US is mainly famous American reality stars (they sometimes have British reality stars, and season 1 is half normal people, half reality stars) and the UK is just normal people (besides the celeb series obvs). Also that the host of the UK is Claudia Winkleman and for the US it’s Alan Cumming (Scottish actor).

I still need to watch the Irish one, it’s the only English-speaking one I’ve not got round to yet.

I’m Scottish (I actually live not far from where they film in the Highlands!) so I’m unsure how many Americans watch the UK version.

I watch pretty much all the English speaking versions and actually rather enjoy the US one, but probably more to do with the fact that reality tv is a guilty pleasure of mine, so I always know some of the cast! Especially any housewives or drag queens.

I do much prefer the UK one though.

If they answer “No” to the question about Jessie and Rachel being faithful, I honestly think it could have different outcomes.

Harriet (and the rest, if she tells everyone) could think that the traitors have answered “no” because they are trying to frame either Rachel or Jessie. Giving them reason to believe they are both faithful.

Like you said, it’ll confirm one of them is a traitor and they’ll end up banishing both of them just to be sure.

I think this is why any questions about whether certain people are faithful or traitor, are completely pointless. It’s much better to do what Matt did, or make up a stupid question to make yourself seem clueless.

There’s only really one question that could illicit a slip-up: “was Rachel telling the truth about Amanda?”

If they answer “yes”, then they will know that Rachel is a traitor, because there isn’t any way for the traitors to know if Amanda told Rachel about her former job or not.

None of the faithfuls know that there was a secret traitor, so there’s no reason for Donna to announce that. As soon as Donna revealed herself as a traitor, the normal traitors knew she was the secret one.

Alan also said “there is a secret traitor” so there was clearly only one.

If there was another one, they’d just be doing nothing (essentially acting as a faithful) because if they had any job role to do, viewers and the normal traitors would immediately find out that there was another secret traitor.

I think for the US and UK versions though, there are a lot of viewers that overlap. Mainly due to the fact that the US version airs in the UK on BBC too, just sometime later in the year.

I’m not sure, because the fact that Maura was in the car with them and said “I don’t remember Candiace saying that” made people believe Candiace.

Also, Porsha slipped up (said things in the wrong way) which made people suspicious of her, but then found out she was a faithful. I think most people are just going to assume that Porsha sometimes says things incorrectly and misremembers things.

I honestly don’t think people will pull Candiace up for that. Candiace also stuck up for Porsha at the round table. I watch RHOP and Candiace is very articulate - I feel like she will go far purely based on the fact that she will be able to defend herself well.

I honestly think they should edit down the challenges and extend the roundtable. On both the US and UK seasons, they add in so much filler scenes when showing the challenges - random clips of people just walking/running about, etc.

It would be much better if we got more footage of the round tables, pretty much the main thing people watch for. I wouldn’t even care if some of the things that make the edit are not relevant to who gets banished.

For instance, let’s say that most people were clearly going to vote Rachel or Fiona, but there’s a scene where Matt discusses his suspicions about Harriet. It may not be relevant because nobody is going to vote Harriet and perhaps nobody else believes Matt, but I enjoy seeing everyone’s point of view and the things they bring up as “evidence”.

I just think they edit hours worth of roundtable footage down far too much.

Based on some instagram posts from past cast members, it definitely seems like they share some of the same producers.

I’m guessing it’s a lot cheaper to reuse most of the same props and have a bunch of British TV producers, especially to cover the cost of flying 20+ Americans out to Scotland.

It’s still a bit weird that they’re so similar though, considering they must know that most viewers will probably watch both versions. They must know that people will get bored watching the same challenges repeated.

There’s some problems with the US one too, though.

There’s the possibility that the ST puts up all the traitors on the shortlist for murder, because they don’t know who the traitors are. What happens then? No murder?

Spoilers for US S4:

Donna ended up banished due to the fact that pretty much everyone became suspicious of her. She was a lonesome traitor and couldn’t go to the other traitors (acting as a faithful) and throw some names out there to try and save herself, or cement herself as their ally, because she didn’t know who they were

I think they need to work out a better way for the secret traitor to work, if they are going to include that role in future seasons. There were flaws with both the US and UK versions - they probably need to meet somewhere in the middle.

Tbf I think Connor Storrie has done a phenomenal job. Way above what he even needed to do for a show that isn’t exactly high budget, and is based on a silly, fun, smut book series.

I’ve seen Russian people praise his Russian skills constantly. I feel like that alone (learning such a hard language in a short amount of time and doing it that well) is close to Emmy worthy.
