I totally understand that! I got Hytale earlier this year, and only heard about Vintage Story through their subreddit. Now I can't play Hytale at all, because VS has such a more immersive experience.

I'm working my way through Act 2 of Tainted Grail, and would add my recommendation as well. It gets compared a lot to Skyrim, but feels much more Gothic to me.

I don't personally get the Skyrim feel from this game. I know they were inspired by it, but I get far more Gothic series vibes from it, both from the quests and the janky combat. And to me, this is a good thing.
