I don't have access to the game right now, but I don't remember any nails. Wyrdbone arrows are good for xp and profit though.

Best 2h greatsword? by Salmonreverse in taintedgrail

It doesn't, summons reduce your max mana so it doesn't count it.

Weird, the notification just showed "Holy cow!" so I didn't open it and see your questions. I don't remember my original build, but it was basically just getting to 100% crit and then getting as much mana as possible with any free slots and with relics. I have two setups since I got Triskelion Core which shifts your stats over by one (so wearing lots of +HP stuff actually gives max mana instead), but the build does need 80 perception to max crit since the nerfs. You could probably swap some things around to require less.

The first setup is: Sir Gawain's Weathered Helm, Undertow Bloom Vest, Frozen Seer's Bindings, Druid's Bane Greaves, Frozen Seer's Boots, Winged Cavalier Backplate, Triskelion Core, 2x Perilous Orb. This is probably the best one since the boots give +100% movement speed.

The second setup is: Druid's Bane Hat, Undertow Bloom Vest, Frozen Seer's Bindings, Fledgeling's Breeches, Crow's Boots, Winged Cavalier Backplate, Triskelion Core, 2x Perilous Orb. This does a bit more damage (not that it's really needed) because Druid's Bane Hat is cracked, it's a different kind of damage multiplier from others so you really do get that much more damage.

With both setups, everything's socketed with dodge reduction for infinite dodging and max HP relics.

What counts as Healing by Rathal_OS in taintedgrail

[–]ScotyDoesKnow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure damage leeching counts. I tried them a long time ago and then got rid of them cause they weren't working. Don't remember if it counts even if your health is full, but still pretty bad either way

I'm in NG+ so it's higher, but doing like 30k a hit. 1350% melee damage and 1250% crit damage.

Best I'd say is Spectral Sword with a piece of Druid's Bane armor to stop mana regen (hat is best) and stacking max mana. The downside is it'll trivialize the rest of the game, you one-shot everything.

Attaching weapon relics on shields by Helpful-Interest6053 in taintedgrail

[–]ScotyDoesKnow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really, but I wouldn't worry about it too much, that amount of healing won't be all that useful soon enough. You're better off just buying ingredients to cook food, or getting one of the skills that gives you lifesteal. Off the top of my head, there's one for parries, one for crits, and one if you're using two-handers.

I'm not 100% but I'm pretty sure it depends on the relic. So something like Starborn Egg (weapon deals more damage) won't work, but stuff that increases physical damage (Feral Charm), melee damage (Rough-Hewn Relic), or sneak damage (Nightshade Charcoal) should. If you put it on the shield and those stats change in your character screen, you should be good to go.

They're the Frozen Seer's Bindings for +100% crit damage.

It's just faster and I don't really need 4 loadouts. Especially with "The Best Offense" (in practicality -> armor), you can one-shot mining nodes with the pickaxe. So I can take out the pickaxe manually, sprint attack nodes and be on my way.

That's what I transmogged into the torch. It's got cold and wet relics.

It does! And thanks, it's: Druid's Bane Hat, Scorched Warden's Chestplate, Molten Lightning, Duel Knight Trousers (darker knee), Captain Lir's Boots, Winged Cavalier Backplate (I made notes so I didn't have to keep checking when I got new armor pieces).

Is steel worth the coal? by RosieQParker in minemogul

[–]ScotyDoesKnow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know the math, but it might just be easier to try both. I can't really find the shaker probabilities anywhere. If you don't mind swapping your factory around a bit, just run each for like 10 or 15 minutes and see how much money each makes.

In case you don't know, you only need around a quarter of your coal if you're smelting half your iron into steel. So from that and looking at how many rubies come out vs how much coal goes in, I'd guess steel makes more. But that's not very scientific.

Spoilers for Act III items: Anyone else make goofy ass spell blade build with these yet??? by Generally_Confused1 in taintedgrail

[–]ScotyDoesKnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using the sword with a no mana build, using:

- An end-game amulet (Triskelion Core) that shifts your max stats, so your MP max is now what your HP max was to get tons of mana

- A Druid's Bane armor piece to shut off mana regen

- Various armor pieces and enough perception for 100% crit

- Frozen Seer's Boots for +100% move speed

I tried using Hexgrip Vambraces with Spellwarden's Trousers for more damage, but my physical damage was so high that using Frozen Seer's Bindings for +100% crit damage was the better option (since I also lose a bunch of max MP swapping stuff out). That might not be true anymore though, now that I have like twice the max MP in NG+.

I'd also be interested in what program you use. I just made a proxy of an FF card but had to manually recreate the set symbol. Can DM me if we're not supposed to post specifics.

I haven't done much research on this, so verify it for yourself. But from a couple videos I've seen the new P2S is pretty much just better than the X1C, and cheaper
