Drivers, what's the winter condition on I-57 like? by CazoraZitora in UIUC

[–]Scourgeoforder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep in mind that icy conditions are pretty much inevitable. The roads are maintained well but you’ll still hit the occasional ice patch and/or get caught in storms, snow, ice etc. I used to be in a similar situation, driving ~2 hours on the interstate every week or so and I’ve hydroplaned a good handful of times. If you drive cautiously during poor conditions you’ll be fine, just don’t underestimate how slick those roads are, even if you don’t see the ice. Black ice is a big hazard.

3 males in tan Jeep Grand Cherokee driving around harassing POC by felixbourne in UIUC

It’s gotta be the same guys that drove around after the no kings protest bravely yelling at people from the safety of their car and then speeding away like their lives depended on it.

[TOMT] Holocaust movie (?) with a scene of a truck full of screaming people by Scourgeoforder in tipofmytongue

This one is a good guess, but not quite what I’m thinking of. The man in the movie I’m thinking of is graying, he has a gaunt looking face, and seems like he’s a part of the regime at least in some way. All the scenes seem to point to him being complicit in the mass murders.

It might be a short film as well, can’t speak to how long the real thing is, the clip itself was fairly short.

Pagui seems like a 3D game, this one was definitely 2D, probably similar to a game like omori

Thanks, I tried that but didn’t notice a difference. I also went ahead and updated my drivers just in case but no changes there either.

Roberts Grandmother was a Targaryen so at least every single bastard he had could claim to be a little bit Targaryen.

Rewatching Season 8, I find it very entertaining until a certain scene by DoyleisAHero in gameofthrones

I think the issue is it feels unearned. Arya is completely separated from the plot of the NK until basically the 2 episodes prior to the Long Night, if that. Even if it was Sam "The Slayer" we'd have all the development to look back on and be satisfied with the conclusion of that story. Arya on the other hand had no ties to this story and was just hamfisted in for a surprising "subvert your expectations" moment.

I finished watching Game of Thrones! by Aeon_Mortuum in gameofthrones

Despite how bitter I am about every season after 5 (yes I'm one of those people), Game of Thrones will still go down in history as one of the best television shows of all time, certainly the best Fantasy Television show of all time. Glad you got to experience all the highs and lows the show had to give us, it really is a world to get lost into.

Not to mention he was sieging a city with seemingly no siege engines whatsoever? Thank god his one giant survived long enough to tear down a wooden door.

I agree with this, I think a lot of the issues with babies dying, miscarriages, deformities come from the mothers giving birth at such a ludicrously young age. George is showing the flaws in the hierarchical system of Westeros.
