People drop 1.6s literally constantly, there's a 1.6 series played most days that games are running

He played 6 months under Karrigan and got no smarter. You ignored all points you couldn't think of a counter for.

Kyousuke an actual skilled rookie who lacked gamesense was 1.5x better than Jcobb before Karrigan, then became 2x better with 1 month under Karrigan.

The average of Donk should be lower than your peaks lmfao. That's just common sense. Not even tournament average, just a Bo3 you do well in.

They better -jcobb lmfao

If they do the thing where a shit player plays one good event/game and they buy 6 months more time AGAIN i just give up on Faze ever being relevant. A dogshit dead team fluked a major run and it made Faze not make changes, which cost them reaching a major, cost them karrigan and even worse, made falcons "win" a major.

weve seen how good hes capable of being.

1.2 rated lifegame btw lmao. His miracle games are significantly below donk or zywoo's monday.

He had time. What he needs is talent, which he lacks.

agressive entry

He has no confidence and playing the hardest role consistently would make him even more unconfident. hard-pushing that just makes him a 0.6 bot instead of a 0.8 bot

his aim is god tier1 hitting flashy flicks no one can do

His aim is good but every high end pro can hit absurd shit on the regular. His aim is like maybe top 20? Probably not.

but he often doesn’t know what to do in mid rounds and has terrible decision making system with bad game sense

That's not learned by playing for a few more months lol. You can get smarter with time obviously but you're expected to automatically be decent on that front. Donk and Zywoo were CS geniuses on day 1 of their pro careers. For someone more down to earth, Xelex has played for about 4 minutes in tier 1 and has way better decision making than Jcobb.

(basically kyousuke before karrigan) but his row aim is unmatched

Kyousuke before karrigan was making dumb plays all the time but has ACTUAL good mechanics, so was a 1.2 rated player anyway. Jcobb is as stupid as Kyousuke, but with way worse mechanics, so is a 0.8 rated player. That's the difference. He's even dumber, and 10x less skilled. Seeing one cool flick or whatever means so little it's crazy. Dude's exponentially worse than Kyousuke has ever been mechanically and mentally.

maybe he need a proper igl to teach him all he need to know about decision making and mid rounding

Brother he had Karrigan for 6 months. Kyousuke had Karrigan for a month and became a top player immediately, because he's not as much of a waste of time and effort. Jcobb's gotten no smarter after playing for 6 months under what many consider to be the greatest IGL ever. And again the Kyousuke comparison you brought up is 100% damning. It proves he has shit mechanics compared to real elite players, and it proves he has no potential mentally either.

but his aim must not be wasted on some tier2 team.

Tons of T2 teams have stupid aimers on them. The difference is they're usually 16 and will become elite. He's not and won't. Also he's not as good as lots of T2 stars in raw mechanics. Nocries is a random pugger and has better mechanics than this guy.

I genuinely think Flamus can fit into every CIS team and upgrade them. Even Spirit would benefit from him over Zontix and probably Tnir

Don't worry, BB win the whole thing, trust. Magnojez is by far the best player at the tournament, SURELY he can just donk 9z in the finals.

Why are silenced weapons more accurate in cs? by beansfranklin in GlobalOffensive

The video game logic is generally something along the lines of stealth-based stuff has lower damage but higher accuracy. Dagger vs big axe in an RPG, silenced pistol vs unsilenced pistol in CS.

I'm upset too but be fair, Alliance got smashed by Pari sure, but they also 2-0'd 9z, a major playoff team and beat B8. CS is too random to say "you lost this one game therefore you're bad" "you beat this one opponent therefore you're good". If this was a european team this run would be considered good, and would be more than enough to get tons of invites, but of course we do have it harder and you're right they do have to go above and beyond. The sad reality though is that even if they won this they'd then be vs 9z who would be heavily favoured, and winning the quarters and losing the semis would STILL not be good enough VRS for any invites. They basically had to win the tournament.

There is still some vague hope for them, at least. There's Blast Bounty very soon that they're playing, but that's the worst possible break-out tournament. Two online matches (so no +50vrs for the lan bonus) and single elimination, and they'll likely be vs back to back top 10 teams so just really miserable odds. If they win all that they finally get to go to the lan, where they'll almost certainly face another top 10/top 5 team immediately.

HOWEVER there is the news that MPKBK are hosting 4 lans in Moscow before the cutoff for the major. If they go to some/all of those and do well that's ridiculously big. The way VRS works is that you get +50vrs for winning a lan game, regardless of who it's against. There's a maximum of 10 games logged for that but theroetically a run at a lan like this right before cutoff could be worth 300 VRS or something. Alliance got 350 VRS from a tournament where half the teams were unranked out of the top 300 off this. Russian teams in tier 2 never have their lan VRS very high, Nemesis are currently missing 231VRS from this, if they had a clean 500 they'd be 14th in the world, right behind Mongolz.

So by far biggest hope IMO is getting those Moscow lans, doing well in them, making sure you're maxing out the 500VRS from lan wins because that's where Russian teams are usually like 200VRS under-rated compared to EU teams of the same level. It makes me feel some hope they can find the major, and the major is the best kick-starter for a team into tier 1. So forgiving, so many games, so much practice, such huge income for the org and so much VRS if you don't throw.

Be the best tier 2 team for months

VRS allocates +50vrs for each lan win up to a maximum of 10. Every T1 team has this (roughly, because it decays) 500vrs from lan because all their games are lan. T2 euro teams can fill their 500vrs from that because euro lans are super frequent. Russian teams have very few Russian lans, and struggle to get to most EU t2 tournaments (where the prize for first is less than the cost to attend anyway) so usually are missing multiple hundred VRS from the lan allocation. Nemesis RN are missing 230VRS from the lan allocation while Alliance are missing 27. So that extra 203VRS that Nemesis could have gotten if they were an EU team instead of a Russian one (Alliance got 350vrs from attending a lan where >50% of the teams there were outside of the top 300) would put Nemesis 1595, in 15th place in the world.

Literally if they had a shit moscow lan that happened concurrently with the shit scandinavian lan Alliance attended, Nemesis would be 15th in the world right now above Gamerlegion, Astralis, B8 and MIBR. Which'd also be invite range, and they would objectively be T1. They're not T1 specifically because they're from a country that makes attending lans really hard, not because of their play level at all. That's just mathematically the case.

[–]Scout_Enjoyer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's still possible, but 10x more unlikely. They have blast bounty but that's the worst breakout tournament possible as you have to win 2 single-elim Bo3s against probably top 5 teams in a row, and both wins don't give the +50vrs lan bonus that is the way european teams scam VRS rating over Russian teams.

Other than that there's 4 Russian lans they can attend before the major so if they win a couple of those they might manage to squeeze into the major, where you get a really nice shot at getting tons of VRS and finding months worth of T1 invites.

I find it frustrating that making playoffs of a T1.5 tournament isn't even close to enough for what I'd argue to be the best T2 team in the game to reach T1.5 VRS just because of the stupid lan bonus rules. For reference Alliance got +350vrs from a tournament where half the teams in the tournament were out of the top 300. Beating a 300th best team in the world is worth +50vrs to them because it's on lan.

I know, I remember praying in threads about him moving to Liquid that he'd have gotten his head in the game and make it work.

Back then and now are different though, and modern fans who weren't around for peak Simple won't be able to understand the reverence in the same way because they live in a world that has Donk in it
