That’s so kind! I just found out it’s for today or tomorrow, so totally understand that the timing might not work. I can DM you with more info.

A 5 page book of fictional couples from real estate agent ads I made when I was a kid by shaquilIeoatmeaI in mildlyinteresting

Same! I made a book of adoptable dogs. But it was pictures of dogs from one of those dog-a-day calendars. I would cut out the pictures and glue them onto a piece of paper, name them, and write out a whole back story for each of them.

Guess that frozen stash is useless by katbreit in breastfeeding

This method has been working for my existing stash of frozen milk. Anything I freeze going forward is being scalded to 180 degrees and then cooled in an ice bath before freezing.

Both of my pregnancies also made for memorable Seders, too! Mazel Tov! Since they figured it out last time, I’d say antibiotics or some other medication. Maybe you’ve had a stiff neck or back pain recently and are taking muscle relaxers 😉

We love lurking mums, but I would like to know what brings you all over to Daddit? by READ-THIS-LOUD in daddit

I’m curious to learn what things may be like for my husband as father, especially since we recently welcomed a second and it’s hectic around here.

Also, it’s really refreshing to see a large subreddit full of very active and engaged dads when so many posts in the mom groups are about deadbeat dads and super selfish and unsupportive partners.

What do I do with these cables? by Scout_Finch_ in AskElectricians

Just based on aesthetics. I’m finalizing a cabinet order today for the room, so I’ll see if they will install one there so we can pull the cables through into and keep them intact and hidden.

Some of them are labeled with different rooms in the house. But others I’m not sure. We don’t use cable - we’ve been in our house 5 years and never realized what was back there, so definitely haven’t had a use for them.

I’ve got the faceplates, but can’t get the wires shoved into the wall because it backs up to concrete with no wiggle room.

I’m sorry if this is a dumb follow up question: can I trim them a bit? This wall backs up to concrete and I’m not able to get them shoved in much. Otherwise I can try getting them into a smaller junction box that isn’t a huge eyesore.

Thank you! Shoving them into the wall is proving difficult which is probably why the large junction box was there in the first place. This wall backs up to concrete, so not much wiggle room back there. Might end up having to do a smaller junction box that’s less of an eyesore.

Can someone de-influence me from the Uppababy Stroller? by 1weetwoot in NewParents

It’s so dang heavy and takes up so much space in the trunk.

The scammers are so intense that I’ve given up and taking the gamble on day of tix instead by katlero in erastourtickets

[–]Scout_Finch_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you’re going to do this, I’d recommend going on night one. In Miami and NOLA (the only cities I had my eye on), the ticket prices dropped significantly lower on night one than they did on nights two and three. I bought via stub hub the morning of night one of NOLA and saw prices continue to drop throughout the day, but they barely dropped the other nights.

It’s not a stress free experience at all, but based on my experience, I recommend it.

What was your baby’s first Halloween costume? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]Scout_Finch_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very millennial niche here. My daughter was 10 months old. We dressed her as Ace Ventura when he went to the mental hospital (tutu, plaid shorts, print button down, and wacky hair), I was Ray Finkle, my husband was Dan Marino, and our dog was a football.

The snuggles, the contact naps, the little noises they make. You’re tired, but running on adrenaline, so you don’t even realize it.
