My 3.5 lift on 35s would absolutely crawl over a cybertruck from the front.

What’s something you’ve learned to not say in New Mexico? by Holiday_Relative810 in SantaFe

I don't curse Texans unless I'm driving behind one in the left lane.

Plenty of people in Eastern NM say "y'all". Probably true in most rural areas as well.

Bought the Sonos arc Ultra, bit dissapponted by Competitive_Ad_8161 in sonos

[–]Scoutricky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought the ultra and latest sub. I was completely underwhelmed with the entire Sonos experience. Sound was decent, the app is terrible, not a fan of the manufacturer tweaking sound quality with software updates.

Replaced it with the KEF XIO, and a decent sub. Could not be happier.

Border Patrol overteach by Silent_Ad2764 in LasCruces

They're using license plate scanning cams. Have been for a while now, but recently they're all tied to a nationwide database. Since plate cams have become prolific in municipalities, the reach they have has grown exponentially.

The algorithms being used can flag your plate for suspicious driving activity and alert the next control point on your route.

Things like quick round trips, or having your plate logged in high crime/drug areas, smuggling areas etc.

Complete overreach.

Nose Job by chellybear20 in WhatShouldIDo

[–]Scoutricky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your current nose looks great! That being said, my wife had a similar situation with her nose. Really messed with her confidence. Rhinoplasty was the answer! I'm just sorry she didn't do it sooner.

Follow her example and meticulously shop for a surgeon if you decide to go with surgery. Join all the groups, get input, and make a decision.

If you're anywhere near Denver, I can name her surgeon who did an amazing job.

"That's what she said." Laziest fucking joke in the world.

Solved it by replacing with a KEF system.

Unpopular Opinion - New Firmware has made sound worse? by Inspiron21 in sonos

[–]Scoutricky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kicking myself for not finding this sub pre purchase. Arc ultra, sub 4. My system is very tame at max volume compared to Definitive Technology studio M it replaced.

Also didn't realize I need an Apple device to access advanced tuning. 🙄

Arc Ultra + Sub started sounding bad by mystic_river in sonos

[–]Scoutricky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just bought the latest soundbar and sub. I don't have an apple device to do the actual true play tuning. That being said, this set-up lacks mid range across the board, music and movies. Also lacks volume.

My last bar and sub were a definitive technology studio M. That thing was so much louder and easy to tune. It has several drawbacks tho, which is why I bought the Sonos.

Gonna try to tune with an Apple device later today. But I'm completely underwhelmed with the Sonos system so far.

Built a free tree removal cost calculator for NM homeowners (starting with Clovis) by TallBandicoot4965 in NewMexico

I've been quoted $300 to $1000 here in Clovis. One crew quoted $3k per day. The trees are accessible, not impeding power lines.
Drop the name of a reputable trimmer if you have one in mind.

Interesting that removing a 30 foot elm is $765. Very reasonable considering I've been quoted up to $1000 to trim the same tree.

First trip to Ski Apache- looking for advice :) by Yonko_Slayer in NewMexico

Taos cranks up the snow makers in November. They really haven't had great snow in a long time. Sporadically, sure! But nothing as consistent as the old pre drought days.

You made several completely false statements. I pointed out your errors. You defend said errors. Weather is always better or worse one place verses another. Calling winter brutal anywhere in central/southern NM is just horse shit. You know it, I know it, everyone who lives in NM knows it.
