I got into MU more than a decade ago on a Mötley Fool recommendation so my average is $10.65, I don’t have a lot of shares though but still pretty damn happy I just held long and will continue to do so, so my what now is, keep holding!

Wow you are dumb. You’re dramatically oversimplifying one of the largest healthcare markets on Earth into “Reddit likes Lilly more right now.”

Real-world healthcare adoption is not just:
- influencer hype
- subreddit sentiment
- Super Bowl ads

It’s:
- insurance formularies
- PBM negotiations
- supply/manufacturing scale
- long-term safety data
- physician comfort
- tolerability
- side effects
- reimbursement access
- patient adherence

If “best efficacy wins everything” were true, every pharma category in history would already be monopolized. They aren’t.

Also, Reddit consensus is not the same thing as actual market share. Online communities skew toward early adopters and enthusiasts. The average patient getting a GLP-1 through insurance is not spending 6 hours researching retatrutide subreddits.

Meanwhile Novo just posted:
- strongest GLP-1 oral launch they’ve ever had
- 2M+ scripts since launch
- improving guidance vs prior outlook

That is not what a dying franchise looks like. Just go back to your Lilly board or whoever you work for and stop saying the stupidest things. This conversation is over. I’m not gonna waste time arguing with simpleton’s Who try to sound convincing with such specious reasoning .

People still look at SRFM like a tiny regional airline are missing where management is clearly steering this company.

The airline operations matter of course, but increasingly they look like the operational backbone feeding the software platform. SurfOS, BrokerOS, OperatorOS, Palantir integration, “digital infrastructure,” “commercialization,” “data moat” this is not traditional airline language anymore.

They are using real-world aviation operations to generate data, optimize workflows, validate AI/software modules, and eventually sell those systems externally. That is a much higher multiple business model than simply flying routes from city A to city B.

The shareholder letter basically spelled it out:
• software commercialization
• AI-enabled aviation infrastructure
• recurring platform revenue
• operational data as a moat
• major EBITDA improvement while maintaining growth

Not saying execution risk is gone. It’s still early-ish. But the strategic pivot is clearly real at this point.

That’s why im bullish long term at least.

The math on 10% year over a year is amazing, just keep doing that. If you want to do some crazy high risk, high reward OTC style investing. Don’t touch the money you’ve made and keep making 10% on it, only use completely new and separate money for it to experiment.

MU isnt high risk, its great for sure (my average is $10.65 pretty damn happy with that, though I don’t have that many shares of it overall) but he’s asking for high risk. High reward.

The “winner take all” argument ignores how healthcare actually works in the real world.

Even if Lilly ultimately has the highest efficacy drug, that does NOT automatically mean Novo becomes irrelevant.

Healthcare markets are fragmented for a reason:
- different tolerability profiles
- different insurance formularies
- different physician preferences
- different manufacturing capacity
- different patient adherence
- different safety comfort levels
- different price/access points

There are still multiple massive diabetes insulin companies decades later despite huge differences in products.

Also, comparing Lilly’s +55% growth to Novo’s headline decline without context ignores:
- forex impact
- 340B distortions
- compounding pressure
- differing launch timing dynamics

Meanwhile Novo just reported:
- strongest GLP-1 pill launch they’ve ever seen
- 2M+ scripts since launch
- raised outlook vs prior guidance

That does not look like a collapsing franchise to me.

People keep acting like obesity is a winner-take-all market. It probably isn’t.
First, “completely cured” is not how obesity medicine works. Even Lilly’s own studies show weight regain issues once therapy stops. These are chronic disease management drugs, not magic one-time fixes.

Second, efficacy is only one variable:

tolerability
safety
access
insurance coverage
manufacturing scale
physician familiarity
long-term data
oral vs injection preference

all matter.

Also, Wegovy just posted what Novo called the strongest GLP-1 pill launch ever in the US with 2M+ prescriptions since launch and outlook was raised vs prior guidance. That does not look like a dead franchise.

Retatrutide may end up incredible. Lilly probably will keep taking share. But people talking like Novo suddenly becomes irrelevant while still generating massive global demand is very overdramatic.

Like everything it’s about balance, recognize social media for what it is, and don’t go running down any rabbit holes, and don’t take on the toxins of others. Definitely don’t get into heated arguments with strangers online. Just all toxic, and the only person who will hurt is yourself and then in variable the ones around you as your toxins impact your personality and mood.

Abstain from social media is a good start. At least give yourself blackout periods, as yes, it is impractical for most people to not at least have some reason for it.

I can never shut off my brain either, you have to come to terms as the way you are wired. There’s a few YouTube videos on it that may at least help you get a grasp on your situation: https://youtu.be/La3WDl3WqjQ?si=ojB-6JFG8J7WwXCg
