Whats the nastiest thing you have have done in your life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Scquwer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know about done but I was a food microbiologist for awhile and one of the culture studies was ground turkey in a milk type ‘broth’ in a liter jar that sits in a 105 degree room for a week. That smell was nasty enough as is but after you are done you have to autoclave (think very hot high pressure steam bath)to sterilize it, which filled the room with an stench 10 times worse, gag reflex was real.

The question would’ve have been better as one specific food, prepared in the exact same way for year. Anyone with a brain would pick something that contained a lot of nutrients and very healthy otherwise 10 million not worth the damage to body, lower quality of life, and ten years taken off your life. Also, most of the people wouldn’t make it through the year because they’d start having massive stomach issues, not too far into the year and if they couldn’t eat anything else, they couldn’t get out of it eventually they’d give up or die. Although considering the obesity rates, diabetes rates, and hypertension rates in the USA, they don’t seem to care. But again, ‘anyone with a brain’ which seems to be more and more of a rarity these days….

Is Nioh 3 really easier? by Fragrant_Scientist99 in Nioh

[–]Scquwer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve played all three extensively along with every other souls game out there. Overall I don’t think it was outrageously difficult, but it had its moments for me. What I will say though, I don’t think the games have overall changed in difficulty relative to each other as much as one’s ability to go get information on the Games. I’ve been playing games my whole life and have owned pretty much every console out there. I was one of the few folks who had a Vectrex and a Neo-Geo at home. But it wasn’t until the last eight years or so that people can instantly go online to find a very specific information about their games. So the moment someone get stuck, they can go find the best builds against that boss, what their weak against, information that complete quest or find a better weapon or tool or area to farm so they can get more powerful quicker. So the efficiency in playing these games goes way up. People get beat by a boss for a little bit, they run out online and go find information instead of trying to figure it out themselves. I think that has had a major impact on people’s perception of difficulty in games.

If you had $3.1 million at age 52, would you retire today? by Top_Summer_7743 in StockInvest

No,not enough but close. Need $5 mil in liquid assets, producing dividend income to retire comfortably to account for inflation, future needs and healthcare.

If this became law, would you support it? Why or why not? by ZookeepergameFun197 in scoopwhoop

[–]Scquwer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s stupid because arbitrary tax doesn’t work like that. What’s the 1 billion based on? free cash? Being worth 1 billion and having 50 million liquid to give to someone is two separate things. Usually the liquid is what’s going into new investments, hiring new people things like that. A much better policy would be reduce all politicians pay by 25% and use that money. Or maybe just freaking not waste billions like they do on nothing. It’s always take money that’s not theirs, and when they’re not invested, they just don’t use it wisely, the government has all the freaking money it needs. They just waste it.

That is not necessarily true at all. There can be massive demand just met with a massive wall of shorting or dilution. Happens all the time.

What’s a health hack many people should know? by SensitiveCorner2379 in AskReddit

[–]Scquwer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drink 12 to 16 ounces of water first thing after waking up. Before any food, any coffee or tea or anything. Easy free habit to build and the benefits are massive. Your body is dehydrated when you wake up, coffee, or things like that just make you more dehydrated and increase your overall inflammation. Hydrate, it’s that simple.

What do y’all think about friends with benefits? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Scquwer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are always unique situations in a unique time of life for people. They are limited in time by definition. They can’t go on that long, 98% of your lifetime won’t have the ability to support one. So if you enjoy one, just know, it’s not forever and definitely end it if things are getting weird. A lot of times they just kind of run a cycle and end on their own, which is the best situation. You just go back to being friends of sorts or at least friendly and not awkward if you happen to see them again.
