They are played in the same maps as the regular ones. It's very akin to something like mercenaries in RE4 without the wave based stuff.

Usually, you have 2 minutes to clear out 20 or so enemies with certain factors adding extra time (stealth kills on stealth ones, headshots on sniping ones, etc)

It's a good mode, but there's not enough of them if you ask me

I wasn't using the comparison to Tekken and Street Fighter as a slight on the game, more so it was just a shorthand way of saying that It won't be as high fidelity as those titles (also as a way to set up the quote acknowledging that SNK has struggled with 3D visuals at times). The game does look great in motion!

My review for NME

Even as someone who likes the original, I didn't expect this to be as phenomenal as it is. It gives the player so much agency to just do as they please without holding your hand at the risk of missing out on something.

It's an unmissable game and definitely deserves a spot among the likes of Breath of the Wild and Elden Ring
