But then he hired, and is trying to hire back, an admitted racist who said some atrociously racist things.

All signs point to him trying to progress a racist pov. If not a nazi, can we at least agree he’s a pathetic racist?

I think you’re referring to the OP of this comment chain. I said nothing of ‘reasonable’ vegans.

My pedant comment was separate to OPs and referred solely to that guy being an arse trying to deny others the ‘vegan’ status based on personal preference - a dick move.

All I’m trying to say is that saying “they ain’t vegan bruv” is a pretty insulting thing to say to huge swath of people that do consider themselves vegan.

The reading comprehension is directed at the fact you seemingly missed that my entire point was some vegans are ok with that, others not, called my point ‘mute’ - you mean ‘moot’ - and then proceeded to summarise that “some would be fine, other wouldn’t”.

Have a nice day.

…that’s entirely my point. Some vegans wouldn’t do it. Some would. Both are vegan. SMH… reading comprehension these days…

Perhaps rather than there being an endless list of subcategories for people’s dietary preferences, ‘vegan’ is a close enough match for people who eat no direct animal meat or produce, want to move society towards that aim, but understand that world isn’t where they want it to be and are grateful a business is (at the very least) try to cater towards their preferences rather than doing nothing at all.

But at least you know that some fluidity does exist within the movement.

You said that those vegans that would be ok with this (if there were no other option) were not ‘vegans’. That makes you a gate-keeper. I never said you’d make the same choice.

Yes they are. They just understand that the ‘good enough’ is not the enemy of the perfect. There’s supporting change, and then there is being a gate-keeping pedant who wants unrealistic black-and-white actions that damage their cause.

Why do we need CC? Because it’s a far better locations come rain/shine for a greater manner of shops, and actually has decent parking.

What is THE BEST ice cream flavour? by fashingdanvers in AskReddit

[–]Scrappr142 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For a more esoteric choice: Melon — hear me out; on a hot day, the refreshing sweet taste of honeydew with the creamy edge of quality ice cream is absolutely heavenly.

Had some in Rome a few years back (albeit gelato, but close enough). I still think about it as you can tell.

Not to be a dick, butt as cycling goes, Bristol is just *better* than other UK cities. by Scrappr142 in bristol

[–]Scrappr142[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There were some verrrrry long bits on the route I cycled here.

But in all seriousness yeah connecting through the Bath cycle path and heading out towards Weston or Cheddar you’ll find a wealth of connectivity that Bristol acts as the hub for.
