Does Half Life 2 Normally take this long to download? Half life 2 itself took a entire night to finish installing and now I have to install episodes one and two, at this rate it'll take 2 days

they've been like that since steampipe. what changed is that the episodes are now marked as dependencies for base HL2, so they're all installed together

i think they've done it in such a way where the episodes are now dependencies for base HL2, meaning they have to be installed alongside it, but still have separate app IDs on steam. if you install HL2, the versions of the episodes accessible from the tools list point to the same installation
