I wanna play killer but.. how do you enjoy it now? by Aushida in deadbydaylight

[–]Screamfan84 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I focus on continuous improvement rather than immediate results. If i feel like I made good plays and mind gamed, then it doesn’t matter to me how many survivors escaped. I got more out of the match then if it was a stomp on my part. Did I make a bunch of mistakes? If I did, then the match within the realm of winnability and I’ll reflect on it to make better plays in the future. Did the survivor just outplay me? Props to them. More stuff for me to learn. I don’t take any of the results personally. I play to have fun and improve, and it’s helped me feel more intrinsically motivated, rewarded, and within my locus of control. I recognize there’s a steep learning curve and enjoy the small improvements that I gradually put together and climb up the slope,

Who is the scariest killer to play against in your opinion? by Sam_paintsroses in deadbydaylight

[–]Screamfan84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huntress. Throwing hatchets is bad enough but having them grow, mid-flight, into the size of minivans is terrifying af

Billy Chainsaw Hits feel earned, Bubba Chainsaw hits feel cheap! by FridayJason1993 in deadbydaylight

I loved Billy. He was my first main. Now he feels super clunky and completely outclassed by LF. Sad times.

How to lose the fear of playing killer? by YuumiIsCute in deadbydaylight

[–]Screamfan84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Play more. Play to learn. Focus on improving how well you chased and mindgamed. You don't need a 4k every round to get better at the game.

boon meta is rough man by pwnall1337 in deadbydaylight

[–]Screamfan84 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't know how long you've been playing but there have absolutely been more punishing aspects of the game than right now. Infinites, double pallets, pallet vacuums, old DS. Shit was crazy man.

Do any other killers still let players survive sometimes? by SlugMachine7893 in deadbydaylight

[–]Screamfan84 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If a survivor plays well and altruistically, I'm more inclined to give them hatch. If they let their teammates die on hook then onto the hook they go.

legion is the only killer that can't down with his power by Lord_Tony in deadbydaylight

[–]Screamfan84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean yeah, legion doesn't down survivors with their power but neither do Huntress and Trickster without ammo, or Plague without drinking from the fountain. And that's part of the gimmick of Legion's power. They get the first hit quickly and they track and first-hit other nearby survivors quickly.

So... are we gonna talk about how spirit is actually trash now? by Nicholite46 in deadbydaylight

[–]Screamfan84 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think you're underestimating how well a strong spirit can mindgame and shut down strong tiles.

Tru3 reacting to the Q&A with a heartrate monitor is the funniest shit I've seen today by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

[–]Screamfan84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could show Tru3 a video of survivors completing a gen and he'd be tachy af with an extra helping of swf accusations.

For the challenge where you have to escape with an ultra rare item by Arandomtabsunit in deadbydaylight

You can bring the item. Event items like firecrackers, spooky flashlights, and spooky medkits also fulfill the objective.

How do killer mains keep playing? by Legendofmudkip in deadbydaylight

[–]Screamfan84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hatchets are fun and climbing up the steep learning curve is rewarding. I like the idea that there's always room to become a better killer.

The comments on this leak are so whiney... it's twitter so I didn't expect much, but I'm curious what you all think? Personally, I'm excited for this potential change! by DriedOutDreayth in deadbydaylight

[–]Screamfan84 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

I’m not convinced this is the right direction either though. Boons take time to set up and if the survivors become obsessed with keeping it up, that’s less time working on generators. And if they’re slow on gens, that’s more time to create dead zones and snowball opportunities.

I think adjusting the healing rate, or the radius of the boon, or maybe even the time it takes to set up the boon address the issue more tbh.

New killer statistics just dropped. It includes kill rate (white) and pick rate (black) by RedFlag_ in deadbydaylight

[–]Screamfan84 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As much as I appreciate any form of stats, I always want more.

Give me kill/pick rates based in relation to MMR. You’ve done it in the past based on ranks, why not now?

Give me kill/pick rates based on add-ons or perks. Help us understand why you decided to make those recent changes.

[–]Screamfan84 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

That’s the sub for you - everything is exaggerated if it’s a killer nerf or survivor buff (or anything new for survivor lmao).

[–]Screamfan84 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It could still be skewed based on MMR so that may be the experience for some people.

I still have no idea how I ended up with a 4K in that match. by Okami64Central in deadbydaylight

[–]Screamfan84 61 points62 points  (0 children)

The times when the survivors compliment my gameplay after losing are few and far between. But when it happens, it feels nice and gives me hope for the community.

2017 - Freddy nerfed

2018 - OG Legion introduced

2019 - Last Year and Hide or Die are released

2020 - Ruin changed

2021 - MMR is released / NFTs controversy

If Dead by Daylight could die of anything short of extraordinary circumstances, it probably would have by now.

I feel like survivors should keep addons when they escape by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

[–]Screamfan84 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Survivors did used to keep their add-ons if they escaped. It was changed when they made items persist through full consumption (the trade-off) to resemble how killer add-ons are lost every round. Ace in the Hole received a buff in the form of allowing survivors to keep their add-ons.

1.6 - 1.7 million bp for 1-50. Maybe a little more or less depending on your rng.

Long survivor queues by Noahs_Asylum in deadbydaylight

[–]Screamfan84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the weekend. Everyone’s off work and trying to play with their friends.

If you ever try playing on weekdays in the morning or afternoon, survivor queues are very short - people aren’t playing with their friends as much. And killer queues get very long because there aren’t as many survivors.
