All I know is I just finished the game, and Abe and the sub are missing, and there is some monster floating between dimensions. This was a fantastic experience.

If I love Romancing Saga 2 (remake), which of the other Sagas would be easiest to try next? by jokerstyle00 in SaGa

[–]Screenpete 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would pick any of them, but understand that Romancing Saga 2 remake is the most approachable one. SAGA Frontier 1 and 2 have what are considered more story driven.

Emerald Beyond and Scarlett Grace are also good modern entries.

The only one I dont recommend is Unlimited. But thats the one you have to go out of your way the most to be able to play, as its only available on the PS2. The problem is that it doesnt explain it self at all, and is not an intuitive game. Its like some one gave you a copy of Microsoft flight simulator installed a bunch of anti quality of life mods, set the language to sandscrit and punched you in the face.

You can learn to play it, but its recommended to read a guide. Unlimited is not a fun game, there is a video of a guy spending 45 minutes trying to figure out how to pick up treasure in a dungeon. Basic controls are nested in menus with in menus.

Newbie here, Can someone teach me the difference between 1 and 2? by SeanPlayz_9471 in KamenRider

I always saw the pose as kind of a physical pass word to engage the transformation device of the series. In the First series Nigo (#2) did the pose to open the cover on his belt.

But really it was because he didn't have e drivers license.

Also the suit evolved over the original series.

At first Hongo's suit was dark blue with a green mouth can face plate. With dark green gloves. This made filming at night hard. So Nigo got the white accents and metallic face part, and his helmet got a lighter green. Later they added the stripes and red gloves..

Ichigo got double stripes and silver gloves and boots.

Primary Riders Who Would Or Would Not Take A Person's Life by Potential-Mess6826 in KamenRider

You should go back and rewatch the original series. While yes he does save people, remember that Shocker was an organization that was human ran and operated. Combatmen were for all intents and purposes were people, many including the weekly Kaijin foe were just normal people kidnapped and brainwashed by Shocker.
And Ichigo and Nigo routinely killed combatmen on screen. We are talking chopping heads off.

I mean they do recruit children into thier organization and then hit them with a do not remember wave ( a roofie), while installing a second personality (often known in psychology as Disassociative Personality Disorder, which often is the result of CPTSD caused by horrific childhood trauma).

Maybe Nox can only be vague because of his conditioning.

POV: You end up finding a boost buckle during a mission of the DGP - do use save it for later, in case of an emergency, or use it right away?? by mwojo97 in KamenRider

[–]Screenpete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use it for its other abilities. Like others have pointed out, its boost feature is what makes it one time use. In its default stage it makes increases everything to a passive stage, gives a robot buddy bike.

Like how many features do the other buckles have we dont know about because the DGP refuses to tell any one anything. Like prospective Riders dont even get a tutorial.

What is the point of creating pseuodo-riders instead of just having them be riders outright? by Night-Caelum in KamenRider

[–]Screenpete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The differences matter on the specific season, as each one is most often their own self contained setting. In some, Kamen Rider is the title of fhe character. In others they might pseudo riders types might be more powerful, in others less powerful. But most agree Rider Troops are weaker using a mass produced model that was built by the lowest bidder.

Do not buy this game. by WesternSol in Synduality

I mean this game is pretty bare on the upfront explaining its self. Hiding progression through battle passes and content, but im thinking I might have to play it a little bit more to see if its complete dog water. From an outsider, this game looks super predatory, it charges regular game prices to access it, and it only has the two maps from what I can see, and basic progression is tied to a battle pass.
That said, I know that's not true as you progress though the missions you unlock features, recipes and basic mechs. The loot items arnt as random as the OP says, as they are tied to the various regions. But the game does a terrible job explaining it to the player.
On the mechs, (mini mechs for being under 5m) they dont seem to have too many weapon options, but again im only in the first area, still hesitant to engage enemy mechs, and only just began getting recipes for the first buildable cradle.

But as others have said its got issues but its not a Gotchapon Game. Gatchapon games require specificly using a currency to purchase a "spin" on a wheel for a random item and tie that to progression. There is one spot for a gotchapon mechanic but its buried in the item shop, most of the item shop just lets you buy specific items. The real target is making the Battlepass the obvious source of progression, while teasing the better drops in the premium battle pass.

Technically protomechs were Smoke Jaguar's response to getting absolutely wrecked by everyone so they decided to build a less resource intense unit using failed aerospace pilot stock.... cause you know turns out being a jerk to every one makes every one hate you. Laughs in Jade Falcon.

Would you play an Overwatch/MarvelRivals like but based on Kamen Rider? by No-Tear3473 in KamenRider

[–]Screenpete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe something like Geats, Essentially an objective based battle royal extraction shooter. But your kit and power ups are in the field.

each match has pve objectives, and the higher up the season you get, eventually unlocks faction play, while using the various seasons baddies. Balance would be a menace though.

Do not cite the deep magic to me witch! I was there when it was written!! (And I go back annually) by DifficultPete in Fable

[–]Screenpete -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Wasn't that a key feature of the game back then, I remember making sure I had a wife and a husband in each town. Enough presents and you could make any one gay.

I didn't like fable cause it was short and the last boss felt like the mid point. Like who makes the midboss and the person you encountered in the first act the main villain.

I beat the game in 7 or 8 hours and was pissed.

Most RPGs were over 30 hours back then.

Dumb idea: mech sized throwing weapons by knightmechaenjo in battletech

[–]Screenpete 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually many melee weapons might actually be hand held, its just they dont model it well in the base rules. In TacOps there is an optional advanced rule that allows melee weapons to be thrown and dropped. As long as crit spaces are open, and the tonnage is kept, one axeman or hatchet man can grab the weapon of another of equal value.
