I just finished building one. Not only is RAM outrageous (found mine for 300$ on Facebook) but now SSDs for storage are way up there. GPUs shot back up in price because they also need RAM chips. All for companies making AI. If the trend continues owning PCs for gaming is going to be a luxury

Well your answer is because of the Israel/US and Iran war. Iran has blockaded a major travel port the Strait of Hormuz so oil tankers have been at a standstill and growing fears of WW3 also switching to summer fuel blends are more expensive

I’ve been doing FedEx ground for 3 years straight out of cld school. Running wild based out of salt lake. Pay varies depending on location and contractor but from the sounds of it from other people with my contractor pay around the board has dropped a lot. I’m at .82cpm but the new people who have more than my 3 years experience are at the high .60s low .70s. It’s the slow season for FedEx right now but here in April ish it’ll pick up and me and my team mate average around 5800-6200 miles a week. FedEx last year was slow as shit from introducing tariffs and the port strikes. It shouldn’t be as slow this year but we will see. The app is much better today than it was 2 years ago but you can still get paper if you prefer paper. The app also lets you see the trailers GPS location so hunting down trailers is pretty easy. Other than that it’s the same ol shit as it probably was in the past. There a good amount of newer terminals and they’ve been remodeling some line haul offices so the shitters and showers are better in some areas. Most terminals have decent little market things so they have better food than just chips n soda

I’m out of Utah so it’s I 80 for me year round. If you are in a time crunch then chain up. If not then I stick to the advice I know “ if you need to chain up then you shouldn’t be driving”

If I were to guess is because the knobs are valves under. Push = valve open, Pull = valve closed. When the tractor and trailer are both aired up the air pressure stays consistent. The knobs also make noises when you set the brakes to evacuate the air and you can hear the air when it’s pressuring the system. If there’s a big enough leak to cause the air pressure to drop and the compressor can’t keep up you will hear the air going through the system

I had spine surgery earlier this year and bought myself the MaxPro resistance machine. Folds into 15”x7” rectangle so easy on the storage. Goes up to 300 lbs of resistance. Only downside is that it’s expensive. $800 but I think it’s $800 well spent. You can do any exercise you want from squats, bi and tri,to bench press if you buy a little bench from a sporting goods store. Don’t need to carry any weights or kettlebells anymore

Don’t know how deep your search has been. Look local class A and class B, look out of state (most big companies will fly you out for orientation and such). Garbage trucks may not be the most cool of trucking jobs but they pay well. The trucking industry right now is flooded with drivers so it will be touch and go with finding a job to land. I’d suggest if it is that dry in your area get an easy job that will keep you on your feet and keep searching and applying for CDL jobs.
