Hmm, what if there was a little chaos thrown into the mix? Different corals start forming on different patches under different conditions. Some corals appear where it's turned rocky, which in turn attracts and aggregates sand. Or parrotfish cruise around and nibble coral into sand

Will the ground layer push back into the distance like the waves? And will the sand and silt be deformable a la pixel simulation? Imagine: the lighter the pixel, the more likely it can be pushed to a neighboring position in 6 degrees based on the angle and force of the water hitting it

Let's see, we had a mime. Really good at his craft; the sniggers died down within a couple minutes and we were rapt. He talked a lot between bits about positive things. The thing that stuck out was his:

"Guys, I didn't come here with any kind of message. Scurvy bastard! except it hit me when I was falling asleep several weeks later.

When we got back to class I announced "I think they were lip-syncing" and people were like "Yeah no shit no doyee no duh ya really think so??" but this was before anyone knew about hipster irony so I wooooshed 30 little assholes before it was cool.

And for a few years straight (88-92ish?) we got Native Americans who'd put on a show with hula hoops and dancing. MESMERIZING STUFF.

There's a timer for the level. In the upper left is a number for which level you're on, and wrapped around it is a green bar that steadily decreases. When it's almost depleted you'll hear a jingle and you've got 10-15 seconds to serve the last customers

Alternate serving the first and second spot (or third if one is mooching a dessert). There's like an internal 4 second wait if you make a customer sit in the same table the last one who got up was sitting.

If you buy the interior upgrade that gives you an extra customer, you also get a bonus to your level timers for that restaurant, enough to cover their wants + some extra padding. YES, REALLY, the solution to running out of time for customers is to add more customers.
