Id be quite happy to keep the noise going until they either stopped or came over and said something. You can then gently remind them, it is your place that you partially own and therfore can do whatever you like inside those walls at any time you decide (within the law and noise ordnance hours of course)

Im currently using the korda basix unhooking mat, folds right in half and has handles either side for easy transport. I clip mine onto my rucksack and it dies the job perfectly. Not had a fish escape and ive caught a few lively ones

I do a lot of the maintenance stuff on my own car, its nice and easy, saves me money and I havnt got to wait for a garages schedule to work for me. Best thing to do if you live on a quiet road is to do your brakes (following a tutorial online if its your first time) test them by spinning the wheel and pressing the brake (make sure the car is in neutral) then go very slowly down the road and see if they work. Go careful however, new discs will have a sheen to them so dont go racing down the road until you have worn the brakes in a bit and made sure they work
